the USSR went on to put more resources toward stopping the Nazis than any other industrialized power

And with incredible results to boot. 7 out of 10 Nazis killed in WWII were at the hands of Soviets.

Anyone that claims to have known anything in 2015 about Drumpf is lying to themselves.

Lol, no. Leftist outlets were sounding the alarm at this time. Liberal media simply ignored it. This is cope.

Mainstream media was a day late and a dollar short in understanding the threat of fascism. Par for the course for liberal media.

Trump May Be a Loudmouthed Demagogue, but Is He a Fascist? Donald Trump’s anti-Muslim rhetoric has his opponents likening him to Benito Mussolini and Adolf Hitler. Such comparisons may be misplaced.

Ignoring the fact that this conversation has been steered towards an explicitly liberal/market economics/consumerist framing...

In a 2016 survey, 69% of Azerbaijanis believed life was better under the USSR.

In a 2016 survey, it increased to 53% of Belarusians saying life was better under the USSR

Another Pew survey, also in 2017, showed that 43% of Georgians thought the dissolution was a good thing, compared to 42% who thought it was a bad thing.

In a 2016 survey, around 60% of Kazakhs above the age of 35 believed life was better under the USSR.

The original definition came out of 1830s France. Definitions change when understanding evolves. Surely you wouldn't ding Encyclopedia Brittanica for bastardizing (or "careful slicing") the definition of imperialism as set forth by the original anti bonapartists?

Ain't nothing better than sitting on a porch baking in 105F heat slamming a cold 40 on a cloudless summer day.

You have to embrace the heat. You have to find joy in the loopiness and haziness.

Man, I adore the font they use for this piece. Makes me miss how text was rendered in 2006 on Windows XP machines with low res monitors, when applying anti aliasing to text was rarer.

Looks like they link to the relevant site in the bottom.

13:55 shows soldiers next to bodies, covering some with tarps

Can you share the screenshot? All I see is video footage of a laptop screen with an extremely grainy truck. The lady's verbal testimony is all we have for confirmation. And, this still does not show any violence being carried out against protestors. Just some vague images.

A bit earlier we see bloodied protestors being carried away

That is not her footage.
