I mean, the ghost of McConnell is still holding office and we've basically just moved past that as a country. I think they could run Trump's leaky corpse and it would be a close election (even if it was a fair and real election)
Yep! But it is 100% based on the honor system and people in power making choices that benefit the people instead of their own wallets. So we have one but it effectively no longer exists
War is dangerous. Ukraine has been attacked and is fighting back. They're warning people that the area they are fighting in is dangerous and they don't want anyone to get hurt.
Do you assume Ukraine should prioritize commercial airline safety over their own sovereignty and their own commercial airlines, which have consistently been in danger for years?
There is not a safe way to conduct war. I'm sure Zelensky would prefer to stop the fighting, but that option currently means the death of Ukraine entirely.
I'm as left wing as they get but I wont support the closest American political group with a chance at getting representation in government. In fact, I'll actively denigrate and discourage others from supporting them too. That'll unlock the future I claim to want!
I will continue to support and vote for anyone that promises this (with a real plan), but I have given up hope on aging in this country with access to healthcare. I have accepted that I will get by with what I can afford and die before I need to. But not before suffering and watching everyone I love suffer more than they need to. All so that these healthcare execs and politicians can buy.....more than they need to.
It's because a long time ago those in power realized they can literally create more of those politically slow people on purpose, by starving them of education and feeding them nonstop propaganda about never looking behind the curtain.
Now they have a dumb, submissive electorate that can't stop electing them even if they wanted to. We're trapped, and we'll have to gnaw our own leg off to get out.
How confident are you in your ability to define and block "slop"? Because the "slop" of today is very different in quality from the slop of even 6 months ago. In some cases it is literally indistinguishable
I mean all I literally tried to say was "it's a little bit millennials vs. boomers", which you seemed to take as a direct challenge, and had to "well acccccctually" argue against, for some reason. I actually never disagreed with your overall point, I only "straw manned" when it was clear you'd dug your heels in and weren't reading the actual point of my comments and needed everything in black and white. You really weren't presenting your argument with much wiggle room at all.
Okay dude, Millennials are no better than boomers, got it. Everyone is the same in every generation...only once you achieve $500k per year do you become hateful and evil
Money is the only thing that corrupts, and the evidence I see of younger people voting differently than older people, and younger people next to me in the protests means nothing. The kind loving boomer neighbors of mine are probably also in that crowd of protestors somewhere, I just missed every single one of them when I looked....
You're not wrong that it's rich vs poor first and foremost. But you're lying to yourself if you think boomers aren't actively harming younger generations, and that younger generations are totally fine with it.
What percentage of "the people who have a vested interest in making sure the poor fight each other" do you think are boomers, and what percentage are millennials? And of those millennials, what percentage of them are acting on behalf of, and/or dependent on a mega powerful boomer?
He captains one of the most important yachts in the world and you think he's not "the rich guy"? He's not as rich as his boss (no one is) but he doesn't live by the same rules as you and me, and I'd bet you he's not done captaining ships over this, unless he wants to be

I don't care what you do because I'm positive it's going to be inconsequential and ineffective.
"enforce specific threats" ....yeah that's not good

That's....that's the joke
Yeah, well, whatever you like probably sucks too. And worse, I'll say
Oh look, a dangling carrot.

"cool, now we get to use 2 weapons on them instead of just 1. Thanks for the training!"

Okay yes let's unpack it, please
What percentage of "the people who have a vested interest in making sure the poor fight each other" do you think are boomers, and what percentage are millennials? And of those millennials, what percentage of them are acting on behalf of, and/or dependent on a mega powerful boomer?
And to be fair I said a little bit.
It's a little bit boomers vs. millennials, based on the boomers and the millennials I have encountered

Even without knowing the law in detail, I'm certain rich people have a (designed) loophole around it. He'll captain another ship if he wants to
It would 1000% be written by grok
