I've been using AI to make a free weather app that isn't cancer. i would never in a million years charge for it. it is a work i am creating for the public using publicly sourced knowledge. the fact it's taken 5 months and hundreds of my own personal hours to produce these projects doesn't negate the fact ALL OF THE CODE has been generated via sources i didn't ask for permission from, indirectly.
I'd have to be some kind of asshole to charge for my programs. I feel bad enough including a donation link buried deep in the UI. (I'm neurodivergent and receiving money makes me feel like dog shit and guilty so really I'm being selfish i guess)
i used googles LLM to help me code a python script to completely replace my fake cloud ai twitch streaming companion with one that runs entirely on my own machine no internet required so now i don't need googles LLM

No because it is old software running on new hardware. Modern Windows comes with a ton if code so "old stuff" still works, it even favors bundling runtime cold for OLD frameworks rather than new in the installation. That's why you need to install modern. NET 10 etc after a new windows installation when installing new softeare, yet it runs old software out of the box. Companies aren't running dinosaur code on old computers, they're running dinosaur code on modern computers.
If i remember right, Microsoft said they're dropping support for a lot of the old .NET stuff at least, so we'll see if it happens and if companies get mad or update themselves finally

you're actually only partially correct. alcohol is a stimulant when your BAC is increasing (like it does when you're actively drinking). it only becomes a depressant when your BAC is decreasing. pretty interesting and strange, and definitely something you don't wanna mix with medical stimulants!
cheaper refrigeration would DEFINITELY help this problem. the big issue with food waste is food spoils so quickly (especially produce and meat), so it makes more sense to toss it than try to find a big enough space that's REFRIGERATED because the food is usually free, no one wants to spend thousands preserving it. cheaper refrigeration would absolutely improve this scenario.
