A million calculated how? I only ask because if it's just raw net worth, a little old lady who has lived in her house in Toronto since the 70s, could easily be a "millionaire" despite having never had anything more than a modest income.

Personally, I'd put the limit somewhere around $3 - $5 million. There's where you are really transitioning out from simply living a lifetime of middle class income and getting lucky with a couple investments.

Why is this a bad thing? Sounds like they are leaving it open source with the existing MIT license. The potential for a rug pull exists of course, but that potential exists whether or not they got bought.

If you want a machine learning model that actually works, you need to feed it good data. If you hire an AI slop enthusiast to feed the model mass junk data, you will have a bad time.

And when I say "actually works", I mean works 100% of the time. If you are using the machine learning model for something like vision based part inspection/detection, a 99% success rate will be unacceptably low.
