Same. I never saw it when I had an original run in the theater and was so excited for the re-release. Couldn't get to one of the true film IMAX showings of it, but went to an IMAX theater and oh my God did they just have the damn sound cranked... So muddy, so loud. Makes me appreciate my home theater that much more...
I have a 2020 CX5 and really appreciate the physical buttons. I like the dial as well. They went to touch screen for the 2026 model though and removed the dial. Dumb.
I need to ask for this. Every hotel I go to they have the brightness cranked - and my wife loves watching TV to sleep, which keeps me awake because I can't tweak any settings. Makes me want to buy a universal just to put in my luggage....
I've plugged a standard console cable into an APC UPS. did that twice before I realized what was going on.
APC decided to do a pinout on their serial platforms that gets triggered with a "Cisco" console cable to shut down. What. The. Fuck.
Well, to be fair you can't wish you didn't survive the fall, so that is always going to look away worse. As I type this, it sounds nonsensical but was funnier in my head
Holy fuck I've got a friend that will die on the hill that you (customer) should tip, and generously every time. Given his experience with it, I agree to a point, but only because he willingly chose to dig heels into that job for better or for worse.
I do tip because I feel it's earned in most cases. I just don't agree with being over the top about it for sure. Part of that is his personality too... And the more I think about it; fuck that guy.
I worked in a call center years ago for college. Same deal - tie required. Thought it to be slightly odd at the time, but was happy to get out of the warehouse job I had previously.
We had a car (ours) on the street for a while in front of our house. Whatever glue they use on the enforcement notices that the police placed on it is unreal - very hard to get all of it off without using a blade.
I built basically that same PC in 2019 (maybe added that video card later) and was looking to upgrade this year. Nope. Found a new love of metroidvanias...
I know you've mentioned having a fitbit. Years ago I had a hand me down and it gave me insight into my sleep that was invaluable. Fast forward, got back into running for the fifth or so time in my life - a few Garmin watches later, and made a conscious choice post covid to stop making myself miserable through alcohol. I still enjoy a drink here and there but it is absolutely stunning how bad one or two drinks will screw up your sleep - and at that point it is a good night but the entire next day is garbage.
Short version of this was meant to say - get good sleep tracking and it may open your eyes a bit and help you focus on your goals. I go to bed much earlier than I used to (9pm feels late now) and target 8 hours of quality sleep - especially on nights before runs, which now is every two days unless I have an event - like a concert or something - that wipes me out.
I've used the drop in cold water, heat to boiling, then turn heat off. Leave eggs in hot water, set a timer for 12 minutes and once complete, transfer to ice bath in fridge.
I just put mint on the same laptop from 2014 that you're talking about. My intent is to use it as something with more real estate than a phone when lounging around. Replaced battery, fan, and replaced spinning rust with a spare SSD. Last week upgraded the ram to 16gb ($40ish on Amazon for ddr3l!!). Only reason I upgraded it was because Firefox would occasionally stutter on scrolling.

Yeah...I severely miss my Samsung note 4

This is actually the correct answer. The journey to and within Mordor would be nothing for a SHERP!!
"your honor, the LLC made them do it, not me"
Well a hand job can make most feel better too, at least for a short while.

Just posted this same thought on another thread. I get stupid chills on the season one intro.
Peacemaker season one had that effect on me. Season 2 grew on me but first season was one I would never skip, even on rewatch.
That's a spin all of this that I didn't expect to see!!
