I also didn't get the fanboying... I'm pretty sure their IT guy said at some point that "fake" Linus suggested windows server for their internal servers/nas. So, all the fanboying seemed a bit strange.
He did have a lot of people that liked Linux around, and invested in hexos, so maybe he changed in the last few years...
I've heard of this before, and I don't understand... How far back do people bring their knife to whack the pit?
I bring my knife a couple of centimeters up. I don't think I bring it down hard enough to do any serious harm to my hand... But the way people talk about this, it seems everyone is doing an anime stance of pulling a sword from their sheath, going as far back as they can, and scream while trying to cut the pit in half with their oversized sword. Obviously missing and cutting off their hand in the process.
Musk would hire people to jerk off to a milk carton, then drink it live pretending it's his own, and get mad when people point out that the good drinkers would know how to position the mill carton for optimal flow.
I'm not sure why I wrote this, or why I'm pressing send...
I know you asked for cli apps, and maybe you have already heard of it, but in case you haven't, cockpit is a pretty nice web UI for managing your server (not just systemd services, but everything)
I think that systemd oomd is pretty slow. I get a quite a few minutes of unresponsive system while waiting for oomd to do something. Honestly rebooting is faster than waiting for it to work.
I recently installed and enabled earlyoomd on fedora, and on an initial test, I still got an unresponsive system with the default settings, but after around 20 seconds or so, it killed the responsible process and I was able to continue working. Not perfect, but much better.
This is kinda weird... Yeah, they can get big. Most usual is to have 4 names (2 first names + mother + father)
Anyway, it's kinda weird because I wouldn't give anyone more than first and last name... And that's what most people do, (unless we're in the rare situation where two people share the same first + last name). Why was your friend making you write his full name?

“Why don’t you try acting, dear boy? – It’s much easier!”
I think you mean raising the price of the end products, because they're a responsible company that is helping the environment.
I mean.., yes. If you're not striving to live in the star trek universe, maybe there's something wrong with this one.
Last time he made a bet, he just cut contact with the person when he lost. Bets are meaningless to him

Kikkoman, when he's down.
Shaka, when the walls fell.
@WhatAmLemmy figured it out? @WhatAmLemmy?
Yeah, this is a low point! This one hurts!

It's a rats nest.
I guess he still has hair, it just looks awful.
Erhm... As a non native speaker, WTF?
Rizz, first thing that comes to mind is rice. GYATT... Dunno. Gynaecologist I guess...

Murder on the Dancefloor - Sophie Ellis-Bextor
I cannot find anything about this. Do you have a reliable source for this claim?

Did you just watch the same Ryan George sketch as me?
