Kikkoman does have good soy sauce though. I've never found a store/generic brand that tastes as good.

::: spoiler Tap for spoiler Try tamari if you’ve never had it and you can get down with something richer. Think of how Kikkoman’s alcohol-ferment side is like a crisp fizzy Japanese lager. In a tamari, that aspect is like the flavors of a barrel-aged doppelbock that a monk would drink to get through a fast. But without being sweet or heavy!

I’ve seen it in midrange gringo grocery stores, but it’s worth a trip to wherever you can find it. :::
