Got a similar idea to you, growing up the side of my house! Yeah mine didnt really get going until June, I got them when they were already a year old so hopefully next year! I will say yours look a bit more leggy than mine so they might benefit from more sun, if possible.
Whenever I see the leftist/liberal infighting and purity tests, like the ones in your comments, im always reminded of a quote from the Mars trilogy by Kim Stanley:
"The revolution turns against itself, because its the only thing its strong enough to beat. You can't get any group of more than four people without at least one fucking idiot."
Thanks for your contributions to an open internet. Birding is one of the better communities on lemmy (im a fan of the_pack myself, because I ride a motorcycle and im uncultured i guess :) )
It look at lot of community blocking and leftist super-user blocking to make Lemmy palatable. And even then, you still end up with like the "football" community and all the top posts are about Palestine, Israel, Donald Trump, America bad, like jeez people can you turn it off for five seconds and talk about soccer. Its a bit like the Fox News comment section where you'll have some innocuous article and half the comments are about Crooked Hillary. But there's some good stuff on Lemmy you just have to work for it.
I think its more that, if that's where your mind went after seeing a meme with a beautiful woman it the culture war is rooted a little too deeply in your mind
Typically that just means there was some kind of endorsement deal with the company that made the recipes. I doubt this is an exclusively American phenomenon.
NFL isn't bad, at least if you just want to follow your home team. The games are still broadcast free over the air, just got to buy a $20 antenna and you're set for life.
That's just inflation though, at a normal 3% a year you should expect a dollar increase every 3 years. And inflation has been running higher than that.
For what it's worth Apple Music has much higher payouts than other platforms like Spotify, Pandora or YouTube Music. Like 4x higher. I dont know if 0.8 cents is a fair price for compensation, but it doesn't seem terrible... if you listen to an hour of music per day that's maybe 15 cents to artists per day? That doesn't sound like a ton but that's about $4.50 per month to artists. Meanwhile according to the BBC artists get like 13% of CD sales so at $20 that would be a $2.60 cut. Meaning unless you were buying 2+ albums a month streaming on apple music gives as much money to artists as buying physical media.
I think thats my takeaway from the streaming era - its a lot less money per listen, but people are listening a lot more.
I feel like part of it is its an awful lot of moving parts that are all put under pretty heavy load. And you can only cut logs that are horizontal with adequate level ground around them. A regular old saw is a bit slower im sure but it would be cheaper, more versatile and more reliable. So I guess this product occupied a niche between hand saws and sawmills that wasn't all that big.
What does CUM stand for?
... it stands for something right
Not that I've seen yet! But they only started blooming about 2 weeks ago so I'm still hopeful. They seem very healthy.
Haha i remember those feels, good luck!
Yes I am! Ok, thanks for the note that makes sense because I've seen bees that look like them making holes in decks haha. Ill edit my post.

Yeah the flowers are absolutely wild! They only bloom for a day or two, but there are a lot of them and they're stunningly pretty.
What
The average human being, regardless of status, spends approximately zero hours a day thinking about the culture war.

Fair enough, but dont whine when Youtube circumvents adblockers and starts injecting ads directly into video streams. You did this.
I mean
How do you expect Youtube to make money

Didn't have to be a company tattoo at least accordong to the apology. Still a kinda disturbing power play.
At least in my market all national games are simulcast OTA for local teams. I think. Definitely Monday night football.
