Flavored chips can often have gluten in them in the form of "Natural Flavorings" or "Carmel Coloring" which can contain gluten unless the product is labeled gluten-free. It's rather astonishing how many foods can end up with gluten in them because of those two ingredient items.
I'm assuming that the agent was searching the vehicle when Frazier jumped back in the car and drove off. The other one took off on foot. However it happened, the situation shows just how incompetent ICE agents are.
Probably, but it depends where you live how that will go.
The details differ from state to state. In some, you’ll be allowed to cast a regular ballot, and in others you’ll cast a “provisional” ballot, to be counted once election officials determine you haven’t already voted.
Provisional ballots are a whole other shit show. Republicans have repeatedly tried to invalidate provisional ballots cast in previous elections. If at all possible, early voting is probably a better option.
As intended. This is not a well intended plan. The whole intention here is to disenfranchise voters because everyone knows, the move votes cast, the worse republicans do.
Voting has a much better chance of resolving this than not voting does. Voting is not perfect, but it's what we've got. Stop discouraging people from casting their vote.
Please see my previous post. By requesting a mail ballot, you are already trusting the USPS to get that ballot to you. Their plan is to disrupt this part of the process. They will be flagging whole batches of ballots when the election officials send them out, and they will hold up whole batches if even a single ballot recipient in a batch doesn't exactly match their list of registered voters.
No. That is not a solution. The USPS plan is to not deliver your ballot to you when you request it.
When election officials bring ballots to their USPS site for delivery , either the entire batch of ballot envelopes or a sampling will be physically scanned – depending on where the ballots are being dropped, according to the whistleblower. If just a single ballot envelope scan does not align with the information in the portal, USPS will refuse to deliver the entire batch of ballots while the discrepancy is being sorted out.
Emphasis mine. You can request a ballot, but there is every possibility that the ballot will never be delivered for you to fill out. Early voting is going to be a much more reliable way to insure that your vote has a chance of being counted.
That's how it's supposed to be. Unfortunately, that is not how it is right now. To even try to restore those states rights, will take the courts. And even if the courts are willing to do their jobs properly, the process would take years and we'd be lucky to see it resolved before the 2028 elections.
This is Trump's modus operandi. Fuck shit up and when the courts try to sort it out, drag things out as long as possible so that by the time a decision is made, you've already done whatever you wanted to do in the first place.
Bottom line. Don't vote by mail because your vote will not be counted that way.
Edit to clarify their plan:

When you request a ballot for mail in voting, election officials mail it to you. The USPS plan is the hold up ballots before they are delivered to voters. If even one ballot is addressed to a voter/address that doesn't exactly match the USPS list of allowed voters, then the whole batch will be held up until they sort out the error. That sorting out will not doubt not be completed in time for you to get your ballot and fill it out.
You should. These poor creatures probably came from a factory farm. Such organizations do not treat their food animals with any compassion or respect. A horrible death after a horrible life.
Winter produce thrives in Yuma County, which is a little bigger than the state of Connecticut, because of its fertile soil, ample sunshine and Colorado River water. In winter, nowhere else in the country has what it takes.
If the article is accurate, it's grow winter produce there, import it, or do without.
Doing nothing for the last 6 months or so is the only way they can pull this off. Do you really believe that they had no clue all that these kids were in jeopardy before this 5-day period? They just happened to figure it all out just now? I don't believe it. I think that they had plenty of tips and clues but they left them sitting in their to-do boxes until someone up the chain decided that they needed a PR win. Then they put in the effort to go and rescue these kids as quickly as they could just so they could pat themselves on the back and get some good headlines before the midterms.
Bridget Ziegler's husband, Christian Ziegler, is the head of the Florida Republican Party and is currently embroiled in a sexual assault investigation. On Friday, it was reported that an unnamed woman claiming to be a friend of the Zieglers filed a report with the Sarasota Police in early October claiming that Christian Ziegler had come to her apartment and raped her, after a planned threesome between the victim and the couple fell through after Bridget Ziegler became busy at the last minute.
...
As revealed in recently released court documents, Bridget Ziegler was interviewed by investigators in early November, confirming that she, her husband, and the victim had been friends and had engaged in a consensual sexual encounter roughly a year prior to the assault that the victim now alleges.
When you are planning a threesome and your wife can't make it so the other woman bails because she's more interested in your wife than she is in you, the natural thing to do (if you're a Republican) is to rape her.
I beg to differ. It should be required that manufacturers of such chemicals do the research to show that their product is safe before they allow its manufacture and workers to be exposed and the chemical to be dumped into the environment.
From the Guardian article linked to in OP's article:
The EPA acknowledged in its approvals that it does not know the level at which the chemicals are “acutely lethal” or cause other serious health damage, but the agency still approved them anyway, said Jonathan Kalmuss-Katz, an attorney with the Earthjustice nonprofit, which filed the suit.
The EPA knows that the chemicals are harmful, but doesn't know how harmful yet approved them anyway. As for the facts, that's kind of hard to get since:
The two compounds approved by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for import and immediate use in facilities across the US are photoacid generators that also appear to be Pfas “forever chemicals”, though it is unclear because much of the EPA documents are redacted . Some Pfas are commonly used in the production of semiconductors.
Emphasis mine. They've approved chemicals for use in manufacturing and have redacted much of the approval notice so that no one can double check their work. If this lawsuit fails, we may not know how bad these chemicals are until they are sickening and killing workers and wildlife.
Here is your reminder that when you remove all the vowels from his name, Reince Priebus is revealed for what he really is. RNC PR BS.

That's a great option. I wasn't aware of that.
Probably, but it depends where you live how that will go.

That's true. He is on record stating that safety is more important than privacy. I'm sure he won't mind.

Come of, Congress. If murder isn't a "high crime or misdemeanor", then what is?

Not just any member, it was one of the founders who liked to get it on with her husband and other women. Her husband, by the way, was at the time the head of the Florida Republican Party. He's had some problems though.

Holy crap! I'm not used to the media acknowledging anthropogenic climate change! Thank you, Associated Press!
