Thanks for this info, I guess it's good to know it's on the to do list, but I completely agree, since realising this my motivation to post, knowing my moderation doesn't have any effect on a large chunk of users, has dropped significantly..

Is there a place to check for updates on this, is the post you shared it?

Thanks for explaining, but wow, that's really unfortunate and seems like something that needs addressing, especially since they're the biggest instance.
I thought the whole point was to have the freedom to associate and disassociate with the content of our choosing?

Is there a way to know if/when this is fixed? Because I honestly don't feel comfortable posting the content I do to my target audience if I can't properly keep the trash out.

And I think they were just making irrelevant excuses for marginalisation and exclusion, you know, the side of nuance you typs never seem concerned with.. πŸ€”

Tell me you have nothing to contribute to the conversation without saying you have nothing to contribute to the conversation (and also that you're happy to excuse poor and disabled people being marginalised and excluded)

I’m more inclined to think they don’t admit it mostly to avoid consequences, legal or otherwise.

To others - probably, I was thinking more to themselves.

Anyway, hope you have nice day/night wherever you are, I'm off to have a very late supper.

knowing exactly what one is and seeing it as right or wrong aren’t always a pair.

I think that's a good summation of the point I was trying to make, and I agree with the rest too (as for the reasons they won't admit it - probably good ol conative dissonance, so back to the difference between knowing something is wrong, and acknowledging it), though I try to avoid naming any disorders since I'm not qulified to.

And thank you, too, it's a really interesing topic that I'm not sure even the experts know the whole answers to (if they did, you'd hope we wouldn't still be dealing with such abusers and exploiters), the human brain is a hell of a drug lol

Not saying any of that is ok in any way, or that they're right, but none of it means that they would ever acknowledge themselves as evil. You and I seeing them for what they are doesn't mean they ever will (mostly because they don't see the people they oppress as fellow humans).
Do you really think Hubbard or the pope would ever hang a quote that condemns them and their respective churches to hell for their exploits on their wall?

I honestly don't know that they are, not to the point where they would consider themselves evil, or even as causing misery to anyone, these kinds of people get high on the smell of their own farts, and almost certainly see themselves as redeemers of some sort, it's all about feeding their ego.
