Maybe it's still too early and my coffee hasn't fully kicked in, but what could be done with these without cloud connectivity? I assume the hardware is severely limited due to power requirements and size limitations.
I have a metal coffee screen "filter" that I bought some years ago that screws onto a nalgene water bottle, then the lid screws on top of that. I put a bunch of coffee grounds and water in, then shake the bottle to mix. Allow to sit overnight up to a day, and our out the coffee.
That keeps it cold without refrigerator funk.
You could do the same principle with a jar and a v60 or just a drip filter basket.

I have multiple pieces of retro tech hanging around here, from Palm devices, to an IBM XT, to Ataris, to a laptop that I just realized today has windows 10 still on dual-boot. I forgot because I have debian or something installed on the SSD (windows on the MMC).
I don't want to run android OS, but given the current state of things, using my phone with a custom ROM has to suffice.
All that to say, I appreciate your stance, and the investigation. I understand where you're coming from, and I get the general concept. I don't want closed-source hardware either. There's a ton of personal reasons why not, and none of them are compatible with the corporate interests of today.
But, for your mental and social health, you should really maybe take a step back, clear your mind, and read some of the things that are here. The horse your riding on is so high, I'm not even sure you can see the grass, let alone touch it. The intentional use of inflammatory language, the not actually answering a question, but running rampant on a separate diatribe, and the fact that you're about a hop skip and jump from actually saying "DO YOUR OWN RESEARCH!" is making me immediately not give a rats about what your intentions are because I don't want to interact with you. At this point, I'm willing to bet that you refer to the general public as "normies". You are only a stone's throw from a Truther or other fun conspiracy nut.

For what it's worth, my ENT got me on a Sumitriptam/prednisone combo that is an on-demand med. When the vertigo starts, I take both, and helps knock the absolute worst off the experience.
Think beyond the OS/browser. Machines on your local network that ping or access Google could be used to create a identifiable signature. Then they know the whole subnet "fingerprint". New machine, new OS, new browser, same local network, same suggestions.
