A friend of mine graduated some years ago from a good uni. He transitioned quickly from actually writing code to just reviewing AI written code. He hates it, and its got to the point he has automated the reviewing process as well. He's floated the idea of getting into nursing from how much he hates it.
He used to be very passionate about it.
I relate w you though. I graduated from Graphic Design the week midjourney took off. It's been... Rough.
I imagine that when base building comes, this'll be an important thing to consider. For the moment, the only two times it has come up as a significant obstacle to overcome in my playtime was during a Lazarus worm thing I did with my org where it took much longer than normal because some players just kept coming back, making the whole thing take twice as long. The second was the Hathor laser which made it a pain in the ass sitting outside the crater with a railgun. Had to take a Nursa to cool down every now and then.
Ditto. In college I was up to 6 cups before noon, some 3 or more later on depending on my class workload.
My shrink gave me a stern talking to and I reduced it to basically nil. Funnily enough and for unrelated reasons I haven't had a panic attack in years.
Yeah this. Not to mention I've seen silicon molds for food prep. Could easily spend sunday with two or three stews on the hob, freeze in those molds when done, and reheated in a microwave in the workplace.
Oh I forgot. Dust devils has the solo silo which might be one of the best third slot weapons. It's like a mini nuke with a laser designator. You paint a target with the lase and it's gone, no matter the distance (with some few exceptions). I haven't unlocked it yet, but a buddy of mine takes it against every faction no matter the difficulty.
I have some recs. Keep in mind, I play on Helldive and Superhelldive, and my playstyle avoids gung-ho stuff. On lower diffs you will find more use out of unoptimized loadouts.
Redacted regiment is pretty good. The Censor is good up to superhelldive on bots (though you will need either a Commando or AMR for the heavier armor bots), okay to mediocre against squids and nearly useless against bugs. Medium stealth armor is a godsend. C4 pack and alarm trip mines have usability but I wouldn't plan around them. The other weapons are lackluster.
Democratic detonation is pretty goated. Thermites are good against all factions, crossbow is usable against all factions (when paired with a decent secondary like the Warrant or Talon), grenade pistol has some uses but is lackluster.
Dust devils is okay. The Coyote is probably the single most usable AR in the game. Medium pen and chance to set on fire is good against everything. The rest of the pack has some useful things but nothing amazing.
Frontier (I forget the name, the cowboy pack) is overall kinda shit. The only two good things in there are the Talon (which is great, medium pen laser which can have infinite ammo if you pace yourself) and the hoverpack (if the jump pack isn't enough).
The latest warbond, as much as I dig the aesthetic, doesn't fit my playstyle. The shotgun on the Super Store (Sweeper, like a trenchgun) is amazing however. It replaced the coyote against squids for me.
meaningful positive change for the common person won't be achieved via an elected candidate. If that candidate was willing and able to make some actual change, they wouldn't be on the ballot. Voting in a representative democracy is illusion of choice.
Arguments for:
liberals (in the social definition) and conservatives view democracy at least as a tool to get what they want. Conservatives want to twist it to perpetuate and enforce their view of the world, liberals want to get increasingly slow incremental change. It is a losing battle for liberals, but there isn't enough class consciousness for actual change to happen. I'd rather side with the liberals than the conservatives.
Born and bred honduran here. I'd guess this will negatively affect Asfura's campaign, but it'll be tight between him, Nasrallah and Moncada. Though I'll be honest, out of them all, Nasrallah is pretty much the lesser evil here. If it were up to me I'd be voting for Ávila but, sinple majority means he won't get the job
Really? Fuck. Well, guess that leaves Jeff Nippard and LeanBeefPatty as still solid, hopefully. Been away from the lifting world but that sucks about Mike.
A burger worth half a damn (in both taste and portion) in Burger King will cost me nearly as much as a smash burger with jalapeño aioli and loaded fries from a local burger joint. Pizza Hut/Domino's is the same, there's a proper italian dining place less than 50m from my place, prices are comparable but the taste just isn't there for Pizza Hut or Domino's.
I'm a very stingy person but that price difference is not worth the difference in quality.
Think people who got on lemmy originally lean techy (and thus more likely to use linux and be passionate about it), and people who joined after the IPO thing have more diverse reasons for abandoning reddit.
Yeah, linux can be almost anything you want it to be. It'll run faster and look and feel just the same as windows, if not better. The only bad thing, and I say this as someone who's still on windows and will switch soon^tm^, is that there's a lot of work that comes with that.
A friend of mine who's all about linux is always fixing something about his installation. Though from what I know, he's using Arch, which apparently is less stable/needs more work to get going (something about bleeding edge).
Only reason why I haven't changed yet is because of VR and adobe programs. As soon as VR is a bit more seamless and I get replacements for adobe I'm off of windows.

Think it's just the one guy actually. I really like his take on punk.

Red pill assholes say a lot of shit they don't mean. Only thing one oughta know is to expect the worst of them, actions and words included.

Yea think I'll try it, thanks!
Is misery any good? Not the mod, the game.
