I've thought about pirating it too. Seeing as I bought the game years ago, but I lost my email account associated with the 3rd party login, thus not allowing me to play the game.
I never really played it. I started to, but then life happened lol. But I thought I'd go back and play it.. nope, can't remember my password and can't recover my email.
Same here for my mother. I saw her scrolling Facebook on her phone. It was a literal 25 ad posts, then one from her friends. Its like facebook knows she likes the ads.
I love using rockauto for buying car parts for this reason. Basically the whole site works like it's 2002, in a good way. Enter site. Click the items you need, with easily searchable indexes. Get multiple different brands and choices of same part. Go to checkout. Enter email and zip code you used last time. Enter CC info. Done.

Honestly, I've tried dual booting Linux lately. I'm on mint. Even after weeks of setting things up, I'm constantly running into issues. Particularly with drivers and such. Also, the gaming has come a long way, but the games I play don't run as well on my current linux setup.
I haven't given up on it yet. Even though all the bs I put up with in windows, it works better for me at the moment.
Ha! Reminds me of a job I worked at years ago. Corporate saw it fitting to change all the thermostats for the air conditioning to be controlled remotely by them.. in a different state, with different weather..
In the winter it would stay cold and they would never turn the heat to an appropriate temp.
I took a hook and installed it above the thermostat. In the mornings I would fill a plastic bag with ice and hang it on the hook.
Too cold? Move the bag closer to the thermostat. Too hot? Move the bag further away.
It's literally $80 a gram in my part of the USA, and that's for good stuff. I know this for um, reasons. If you pay any less than that, it's gonna be garbage cocaine.
There's actual videos of people using mining rigs to heat their entire house.
I have mine for mainly facebook marketplace. I wish craigslist didn't die, but there's no other good alternatives for local buying used items.

Which instance are you using? I've been using world since start, but open to others. Never really looked into it too much.
