I think the bigger picture for the excitement around these places is the ability to learn more about the world around us. Now, exploration for explorations sake? Yep, you have a valid point. And a new tourist destination.
I am so glad to see an organized effort to get the brightest minds together here on Lemmy. I appreciate your dedication to making this online space credible and accountable for the information being shared.
Unpopular take here, but I think it's a realistic expectation. I bought the valve index several years ago, and that cost me a grand. I would expect next Gen stuff to be even more expensive, even in the best of times. Add all the tech hardware fuckery of the last couple years to the mix and, well, I wouldn't have expected any lower price.
Does it suck? Yeah. Was the price expected? Also yeah.
They are pretty fantastic! I listened to them for years before I realized they were a Nashville band, and that's relatively close to my neck of the woods. Another one I'll throw at you if you dig them is King Buffalo. I'm not gonna say they're the same vibe, but definitely in the same ballpark. Plus, you run the chance of catching them at a show with All Them Witches.
There's several ways to make this happen, you just have to want it bad enough. I know that's definitely not a viable solution for everyone. I'm well over 6 foot and I can sit comfortably in mine without touching the roof or being above the roll bar.
Also, older is easier. The newer they get, the less space they have. I couldn't even begin to fit in a new one until the seat rails were replaced with aftermarket.
This is what we get when it has happened multiple times in the past with no consequences. I, for one, am completely shocked. Nobody could have predicted he would do this.
I hopped over to my other account on that instance, and ran into the same issue. I suppose it's possible it's my Lemmy client. That said, I haven't run into any issues with any other posts, or any of your other posts besides the ones from today.

Ah yes.....the old "this is what socialism looks like" argument while pointing at capitalism. Been hearing that a lot lately.

Can confirm. I know someone who lost their career over this bitch.

I feel that in my soul.

Can confirm, definitely hot.

8 days a week.
That was my first thought. "9 is a world record? I haven't even trained and I bet I could do that."
Well, you've twisted my arm into switching browsers for a few minutes. 😁
No worries, I'll see you the next time around!

Sadly, your new posts tonight seem to be unplayable. :(
To the shock and surprise of absolutely nobody.
This also led to better customer service. You had a relationship with your driver.
Something that seems immediately apparent to me is that these folks are not fresh high school students. Adults used to work these jobs.
