I feel bad for the people that live / work there. Having to go all the way around is a terrible thing. Really it should be turned into some type of toll road, while exempting residents and local businesses. There is no reason except for tourism for highway 1 to be so popular. 101 is a perfectly good road to drive on.

I am thinking more cities doing this, they're the ones that own the cameras. Sure, some city councils love Trump, many others are probably scared of doing anything. But there must be some that are willing to resist.
