+1 for clicky HDDs! I grew up with an iMac G3 and the hard drive in that thing was so resonant. I imagined it was the sounds of little men in the computer scrambling to do work whenever I opened a program or file.
the fact that you say it was running fine then suddenly you're seeing that error is interesting. we're there any package updates done? maybe jellyfin got bumped to a new version of .NET runtime and whatever package manager you're using didn't install the dependency for you? you'll either need to install .NET 9 or figure out why the runtime can't be located
docker would take dependency management out of the equation, but termux wouldn't handle it well i don't think
yeah as a former plex user I can confirm the setup is way more annoying. for me "just works" means I spin up the container, point it at my media library, and I'm done. never had to make an online account or pay for anything with jellyfin. I agree with ppl that say the plex web UI and native apps are more polished but that's about the only positive
that's your problem. that's the problem with society these days. everyone is flushing their toilets, and losing money on each flush. literally pissing away your money.
i was raised to know the value of a dollar and plan for my future. while big sewage was sucking your bank accounts dry, I was digging a pit under my crawlspace and filling it with my refuse. every fresh log that dropped through the hole I cut in my floorboard was another penny that I invested in my crypto portfolio instead of the sewage authority's money hoard. and now, while you're stuffing your face with avocado toast, I'm fueling my gas grill with my own homegrown methane supply. but don't come crying to me for a freshly flame-broiled flank steak when the sewage-jokeys have bled you dry. you'll be gagging before you make it to the front door.
just to add on to what folks have said, here's a specific example:
You copy a YouTube link and send to a friend. The link ends with &sid=12345678
Youtube knows who you are and it knows who your friend is. When it creates the link it knows "Linktank created link 12345678"
When your friend opens the link, now YouTube knows "this person has some relation to Linktank."
With this YouTube can find out who you know and what you share with each other, without you ever having to tell them directly. Whether that's something you're ok with is up to you.
I'm more of an lmnop guy myself

It's really frustrating to me seeing people gobbling up AI garbage as long as it confirms their beliefs. What are we doing people?
