As far as I can tell, the report is based on the evaluation of five trained testers. So at the very least these five people, who aren't even vegan since they had to test the beef patties, decided that they liked the vegan patties more than the beef patties.

Five people is not a lot, sure, but it's more convincing than your comment that it's bullshit just because.

And I'm not spending time understanding how it's bullshit.

Again, then why comment?

Theres's nothing stopping you from having a JID username@example.com and an email username@example.com. XMPP and e-mail are different protocols that operate on different ports, so their respective clients will figure out how to send a message to the correct server.

Now, if you're asking how you can set something like this up, then you independently have to set up an XMPP server and an email server on the same domain. Or use some kind of email to XMPP bridge.

You've suggested that selfishness is a universal aspect of human nature.

I suggested that selfishness is not a universal aspect of human nature, but instead a result of the intra-actions between human beings and political systems as they currently exist.

Explain how it is I, and not you, who is the ideologue in this situation.

Selfishness is not a historical necessity of human nature, but rather one component of human nature as it exists in the current historical moment, shaped by current sociological, religious, political, and economic structures.

Attributing selfishness as an inherent part of human nature and letting that underpin your misanthropy is wrong on two accounts:

  • You've taken a postion of idealism, a philosophy which has viciously been made obsolete for over 100 years.
  • You've expressed a problem, humanity and its selfishness, but have no solution to your problem besides an idea: hatred against humanity. A problem without a solution is useless. You've let your hatred make you impotent.

I suggest you do some reading to better understand the idea of human nature.

A favorite of mine is Elementary Principles of Philosophy.

Yeah I don't think there's any one client that necessarily hits all the boxes. As long as you stick to Movim, Dino, Gajim, and Conversations you should pretty much be set for most things.

Maybe the only solution is to roll your own client 😉

If you're seriously wondering then I'd highly recommend reading Daniel Guerrin's Fascism and Big Business. And Antonio Gramsci's Prison Notebook, particularly the section The Problem of Political Leadership in the Formation and Development of the Nation and the Modern State in Italy.

Could you outline the specific differences between processed kibble / wet cat food and processed vegan cat food that make you believe the latter is worse for the cat than the former? You could link a recent study on the matter to help us understand your concerns. Otherwise, your concerns are completly vibe-based.
