Honestly? To a certain extent it makes gendered words fairly useless as broadly descriptive words. Instead it lands on the level of names. The meaning remaining is a word someone chose for themselves. This, in turn, also makes the gender-based words for sexuality broadly useless.

Looking at myself for instance - I could quite possibly be sexually attracted to someone who had fully female sexual characteristics while identifying as a man, whilst I've never found myself attracted to a person with fully male or even someone with a rather small subset of visible male sexual characteristics identifying as a woman.

What does that mean for my sexual orientation? I don't know. I usually describe it as hetero/straight, simply because that is what most often fits and I have more important problems to think about, so good enough.

Huh never really felt worried about that. Then again, I think whoever was trying to blackmail me would feel more awkward lmao

But yeah OC is fairly uncommon on here, but I think you do recognize the returning ones after a bit

I mean sure, zombie novels do fit in here, but there's a wide group of options available.

Still, I think it gives a lot of options to explore both nsfw & romance themes mixed with others.

If you drop it in early there's the "World is ending let's have sex" start and then they end up surviving (awkward)

That does sound like fun!

I have been writing a bit of erotica through the times, mostly for my own enjoyment though as I've been too busy to consistently reply to writing partners (sad).

My themes have been varying, but one idea could be set in an apocalypse/post-apocalypse where two people end up finding solace in their mutual affection even in the face of a hopeless future.

I picture a struggle through the initial downfall where they keep going on pure adrenaline, surviving through horrors where others perish, being what keeps each other going. Then, the realization once things settle down that the world they now live in is what awaits them for the future, perhaps slowly falling into disrepair. Despair, sadness, hopelessness. Teetering on the edge of giving up. Then, they realize that they have each other, that they can cherish their time together, find joy and purpose. A brief stint of them beginning to work towards a livable existence. Cut to an epilogue, perhaps implying what came after.

Technically I don't think it's against the rules of FediNSFW to self-promote, only to do so in comms that prohibit it. Most comms here are intended for non-commercial things (such as this one), and most people are here for that kind of content. However, it would probably be fine to make a community dedicated to commercial (paid) content, so long as it doesn't get spammy.
