Perhaps I’m missing something, but isn’t Cursor simply a VSCode fork with some AI extensions integrated into it? Hate aside, what is the actual technical value of the product?

No, I prefer default Firefox. The product is sound and doesn’t raise any actually security or privacy issues for me. A little bloated? Sure. But doesn’t really affect me to be honest.

I’ve played the custom fork game for a few years with Chrome - I’m not interested in lagging versions or random bugs any more, and because of that experience I now simply want things to work as expected and be updated frequently.

There’s a YouTuber I follow mostly because she’s the perfect combination of being media savvy (highly polished videos), and being increasingly out of touch with “reality”. She’s building herself as a brand, which is fine, but the videos she kicks out are increasingly more about her life than any substance.

Probably the last 10 videos/shorts were shot her wedding, and the latest one was the cost of her destination wedding, came in at just north of 100k, and she was off the opinion she got a deal.

Fascinating, but also a bit sad these folks are being taken such advantage of because of social pressure and the normalization of such customs. The YouTuber in question may have the cash on hand (I get the feeling she has generational wealth backing her and is completely oblivious), but many folks will not and will take on significant debt.

IRC, DCC, Rizon, Nickserv, his post makes me feel 20 years younger! Can’t wait to try out IRC again later tonight.

This is what I immediately thought of, but it also reminds me of looking at Detroit from Windsor. I think it’s a testament to the artist that we can so vividly place this somewhere from our past experiences, and even come to the same thought.

They’re also all GPL due to the nature of Wordpress, even the “paid” ones, so if you can find a copy you’re also in the clear - just be careful of your sources.

That, in and of itself, is not something that can bridge this kind of a gap, but it’s an indication of the ways in which money has been spent while refusing to account for the actual costs of what these programs are.

This is what I see as the important bit, and indicates both a level head and clear communication. We need more politicians across the board who can answer directly like this, and not try to inflate or exaggerate.
