Yeah i tried playing the new halo on 720p "the bad way", and yeah it was pretty bad. I'm better of just continuing using DLSS performance mode.
I'm curious, why do you want to use upscaling on games that are easy to run? Are you using really old hardware or are the games more demanding than one might think?
Yes it is inconvenient asf when it's not your own setup. I use window for work and it's a pain in the ass to install. And the computers (shared) reset to default settings every 2 months or so. The dll-files still remain after this so I have to remove them manually before reinstalling. On Linux this would not be a problem
It seemed worth it at the time when I was playing a lot of monkeytype and I still love typing with it. But I made the full switch and forgot how to touch type with qwerty. So now I have to switch layout every time I use hotkeys and switch back to type. Switching is fast but an extra step.
I decided to switch because I think it's a superior layout but honestly it's not even that worth it. You will not gain speed, just more comfortable and satisfying.
People are afraid to change. They turn a blind eye to the suffering of animals and the planet (willful ignorance) because they think becoming vegan would destroy their social life. They are afraid to stand out. What will happen with their relationships with friends and family. Will they be perceived as a hostile out-group? Or make life hard for everyone around them?
This is what I think is stopping people who can even agree with veganism philosophically. If they aren't open-minded they will simply cling to the any justification for carnism possible.
The fears I've listed are not hard to overcome, it's privileged and selfish to not even try. But the main point it's social fears that's stopping people.
Ok that makes sense. I see now that the places listed in Uddevalla have all been tagged as diet:vegan=yes by me on OSM, which I have not been equating with "vegan friendly", it means more like 1 or more vegan item, or like can I visit this place and have some kind of valuable experience? Vegan friendly is kind of strongly worded for a lot of those places, which makes me consider using diet:vegan=limited but that tag is not very popular and a lot of people want to get rid of it. https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Talk:Key:diet:vegan
I reread the OSM wiki https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:diet:vegan and it says for diet:vegan=yes "The establishment usually offers a decent amount of vegan products." And by that definition I may have been mapping thing wrong, but I still want people to know that they can get at least SOME value out of some place. Maybe using the limited is a part of the solution, and maybe PlantsPack can be used to provide some nuance.
PS you should add directions for OSM linked alongside google maps and apple maps links.
I live in the small town of Uddevalla, Sweden. I was surprised to see 7 places show up, all added by PlantsPack Team. However I did not feel it was accurate and I wonder what data you're based off? It sadly doesn't seem to be openstreetmap data, which would have made the town 99% mapped because I have personally added almost every restaurant on there! I really think you should focus more on openstreetmap as the foundation, it is free and open and more empowering to the user than google maps.
3 months later, did you end up finding anything good? I just started using barefoot shoes so this is a worry I have as well, that they will not last very long.
I'm using Wildling fundois, they were marketed as extra durable, they look like vans. I hope they will last.
That's so true. I remember the timeline when everything came out so I didn't realise just how confusing it really is. Xbox one, Xbox one S, Xbox one X, Xbox series X and S.

Learning the Dvorak keyboard layout.

Didn't know it was an integer ratio, I will try this on my 1440p monitor as well!
Surprised to see LocalSend on a list like that since most most people have probably know or even have it installed by now.

What is a vernissage instance? Compared to a regular one.

My brother studied this in collage. Unfortunately he's not working in the industry, instead working the same uneducated social care job as me.

https://jeansverket.com/en/jeans/ Jeans made in Sweden. I've never used them but they seem good.

No that was Xbox one X lmao, they are all named almost the same.

Yeah, what kind of name is Series X? sounds dumb.
Okay I see how that could be really useful! Especially for international communities.
What does it do? Is it like lemmy explorer?
Hello, maybe tag this post as french language instead of english? :)
The forbidden city in china?
