Nor have I understood it either. If a phase of ones life is not worth experincing, then by that logic is death the only goal of life? Truly a strange logic to hold. To me, life is about the moments that comprise it, thus the "phases", as you put it, are life.
God how i wish anyone I worked with understood throwing bodies at every problem doesn't mean it gets fixed faster. On the the other end of problems, they don't understand a developer can't just start developing on immediately on complex application.
As someone who works with timezones as a developer it doesnt really matter I don't think. Timezone are already kind of a mess of a concept and honestly I just want it tp stop changing, I don't really care which way.
I don't know about every state, but in the US state I live in, if the tipped employee's tips and wage amount to less than the true minimum wage (not the server minimum wage) the employer is legally required to make up the difference. I just confirmed this on my states labor department's website (which I will not share as to not dox myself) I'm sure there are other states that have similar laws too.
As other people have stated, you do not need to worry about the AUR issue specifically since Bazzite is not based on Arch Linux. Also, unless you are building Node based application (node being a JavaScript based runtime environment), you shouldn't have to worry about that one.
That said, these platforms are just the latest targets because they have huge enterprise user bases. Any centralized repository has the potential for vulnerability, especially ones with unvetted user submissions.
I spent my entire last therapy session talking about the history the rise of the IBM PC clone market and how Microsoft's contract with IBM made it possible lol
This is a take I think makes the decision make more sense to me (if this is the reasoning), letting the user opt into compliance rather than forcing their hand.
Is everyone ignoring the direct quote in the orginal post that is referring to laws (California (AB-1043), Colorado (SB26-051), Brazil (Lei 15.211/2025)) that are going to force you to verify your age?
Did you ignore the comment in the github where it, and I quote "Stores the user's birth date for age verification, as required by recent laws in California (AB-1043), Colorado (SB26-051), Brazil (Lei 15.211/2025), etc.". Yes it is optional NOW, but this is in preparation of laws that make it legally Mandatory. Don't down play this.
For anyone who has worked for a large company that was around for the IBM mainframe days, it's hilarious watching them try to remove the mainframe from their tech stack, while simultaneously becoming dependent on AI.
Those who would commit atrocity use dehumanizing language to justify horrible things. Let's leave that to the fascist of the world. We don't have to act as if a person isn't human to recognize their evil. Humans are capable of great love and great evil. Avoiding dehumanizing someone is not forgiving them for the terrible things they have done. Why do you need to view something as not human to recognize it's evil? That, honestly worries me. We can serve justice to these terrible people and still call them human.
Yeah, but there is a big difference between you going to Google looking for Nvidia drivers and downloading them from nvidia.definitelynotmalware.me versus asking AI to download the Nvidia drivers and it pulling them from nvidia.definitelynotmalware.me without telling you.
You mean Palestine, the country that existed where Israel is before European Zionist colonized and genocided it. Yeah, Israel is stolen land just like the US, you are feeding into narrative legitimising their claims which they use to further their genocide. The land IS Palestine.
Lol, since when do most people have enough choice to decide how your living space looked at this level? I rent so I don't decide that the door is in front of the cabinet, I get what find in a space. Even if I had my own place, do you think I can necessarily afford a several thousand dollar reno just to fix this?

God being in project orient work is a pain.

Didn't you read the community rule that said no personal attacks haha
You can also see them as you drive by, you don't have to crusade against everyone

It's like an open nuclear reactor, just be careful to not stick you face over the tank into the path of the sin radiation.

Bold to say someone else is likely wrong when you yourself admitted we know nothing. Why do you believe this other than your own pessimism?

Speeding is also a crime, but we don't send speeders to work camps in the Everglades.
It is, but the post still stands, you don't need to hold in that fart to be a women, people can still find it rude though.
