Imagine being an Admiral Patrick alt and being upset about an invasive app forcing itself onto your device and user experience without permission

Just checked out a trade in 2026 model at a dealership. Had 14k miles already in 8 months and had a damaged head unit display (2k for replacement). Told the dealership they were gonna struggle to sell it, especially given that there's an actual branded dealership selling these all day long a mile away with a quarter of the miles and no damage. It's been sitting on their lot 2 months already with barely any online hits.

GM had a hissy fit that I suggested 2k less than their price, OTD, for me to drive it off the lot.

I suspect I'll be getting a call back in a few weeks when their quotas are low and they realize they aren't selling gold-plated Ferraris.

Sexual assault allegations not being a big deal to you is already a huge yikes. But you're also blatantly ignoring all of the other issues over the years:

  • Stealing and auctioning prototype hardware from startups
  • Underpaying employees and turning their termination details into content
  • Making his employees renovate his mansion
  • Buying a private jet for private family use (already bad) and then trying to pass it off as a business expense
  • Repeatedly claiming Linux is garbage because he's actually too dumb (or paid off) to follow basic instructions as a "tech expert" despite his basement gremlin assistant figuring it out fine
  • Been shown with hard facts to regularly misrepresent products and their specs due to poor reviewing and testing standards by actual professionals in the space (and claims its too expensive to do so anyways. Remember that jet?)
  • In response to all of this has acted like a whiny toddler caught at the cookie jar and cries that everyone else is worse (source needed). As far as I understand it, the podcast nowadays is essentially Linus claiming he's a tech God among plebs while previously mentioned basement gremlin cackles and calls him a good master

Go to your local library, get a membership (free), and discover the joy of having a functional brain. Books will teach you more than any corpo propaganda bot ever could

Don't be a sheep, think for yourself

Correct, I don't surround myself with Enlightened Centrists© who think a little fascism is okay as a treat.

If you think being left of Newsom and supporting marginalized communities is extremism, you don't belong here, simple as. None of us will miss you when you go back to reddit and twitter.

Just use tesseract and have us all automatically blocked then if we're all scary radicals. I see you were defending admiral patrick a few weeks ago, surprised you aren't hiding behind it still. It's right there for anyone who needs everything sanitized and corporate approved for them.

Leftism and pro LGBTQIA comms are not radical, violent, or terroristic, and trying to suggest they are is going to get you shit on here. It's by design to keep the fash out. Lemmy is overwhelmingly a leftist space, and most leftists have no problem with telling it how it is, especially during the largest global resurgence in fascism since WWII.

At a certain point, if everyone around you is a problem, maybe you should consider the possibility that the source of your discomfort is much more localized.

Funny, you tried to reply to me and immediately deleted your comment before I could clown on you for how cucked the gubbmint has you. Realized I know more than you about laws and rights, got embarrassed, and ran away before I could clap your cheeks, I reckon.

Run on back to maga.place, fash

Edit: Really beating those fascist allegations by DMing me death threats and telling me to kill myself

Correct, they can limit free speech in the ways that the Supreme Court has told them they can. Clapping does not meet the standard.

Convenient and non-disruptive protest has a time and place. The US is far beyond a time and place where it is useful, though. When the government is blatantly out of control, even at the local level, the people are within their right to escalate. I'm a leftist, and I believe in actual freedom and the power of the people, not a lib who's afraid to stray too far from the center in case someone cries about being uncomfortable when we're talking about government overreach.

This person was "inconvenient"? That fucking sucks. Welcome to government work, suck it up or resign to make room for someone more capable of taking criticism and putting their pride away for the good of the community. The people don't want a data center, it doesn't matter that the city council does.

I disagree. Local council rules do not supercede the law, and it is a slippery slope we are already struggling to climb when we start making exceptions to avoid uncomfortable political realities. Clearly the residents in this area are opposed to this data center, and instead of acting as responsible elected officials carrying out the needs of their constituents, they arrest them for dissenting and getting in the way of their illegitimate cash flow.

This is the exact opposite of how we purport our government to work in the US. We are supposed to be the standard for a free nation and a model of governance where our system works for us, the people. What this event was in reality was fascism and political persecution, and the officials and law enforcement involved in this decision should be held civilly and criminally liable.

Local government is still government, and is beholden to state, federal, and constitutional law. The first amendment allows US citizens to address their government as they see fit, barring a few exceptions such as viable threats or violence. Clapping in approval of others expressing their first amendment right to address grievances with their government is not basis for government force, and any reasonable court would struggle to claim it was so disruptive as to prevent the event from being able to proceed. He didnt stop any speakers or officials from moving to or from the podium, prevent them from reasonably being heard by the attendees, or cause the event to be unsafe.

Government buildings are also public property, and authorities cannot legally force someone to leave public property in the US unless they can articulate a crime being committed. Cops love to throw around disorderly conduct, but that typically gets thrown out because, shocker, those statues are more complex than "I find you personally annoying."

This is basic US civics and the most basic of basic rights in the US. I'm no attorney, but a bachelors CJ degree and 10 years in that career field always leaves me astounded at how poorly the average person in this country understands their rights. I guess that's why it's so easy for them to be eroded.

You do realize by virtue of having a blahaj account, admiral considers you one of these violent extremist leftists he shadowbans, right? You're literally going to bat for your own oppressor right now.

Fascists won't consider you one of the "good ones" no matter how much you defend them, just some food for thought.

Admiral used Blahaj as an example of a "terrorist" instance in their rant.

This confirms they are just another garden variety fascist trying to sanitize the world around them because they're too fragile to adapt, and in their psychosis they think everyone else will support their obviously broken mindset.

Yo admiral fash, if you're here with us go ahead and add me to your walmart brand palantir system. I stand with LGBTQIA, and rest assured I'd have some violence for you for silencing their voices.

Mihon and several forks are still actively developed and both extension repos, one of which being Keiyoshi, are also still actively maintained. Where are you getting your information? Might want to stop listening to whoever is telling you this.

For OP: you could try something like xoxocomic. I haven't gone through their library extensively so I'm not sure how much of what you're looking for they'll have
