I read this meme and was physically revolted and wanted to immediately down vote. Great job.

The superior date format is, of course, ISO 8601. YYYY-MM-DD.

Most of my work events are during business hours and "on the clock". The ones that aren't are high value usually - white water rafting for example. Or volunteer events (which usually come with PTO time). Or incentives - like Christmas party of annual company picnic - prizes.

That reminds me, next week is the quarterly massage.

I wouldn't want to use anything 3D printed (without cleanup) in a fish tank tbh. The main issue with any 3D printed item (aside from materials that dissolve/lose integrity in water like PLA) and water is the layers each introduce holds for mold to cling to and hide in. PETG, sand it, then seal it with a food safe epoxy resin. Then I'd be even extra and out it in some water for a few days and make sure nothing untoward happens in there.

My first thought was to take it apart and fix whatever the problem is, I've fixed issues like this before.

But I also bought it to be plug and play - disassembling to fix what is either a shipping issue or manufacturing defect is not plug and play. So I decided I would use this opportunity to see how the support experience is. So far my consensus is I'm glad I haven't had any issues with my Steam Deck...

What do you mean you "hope" rape is objectively bad? Can you expand on that? I find that phrasing to be... Weird

It makes a loud and very obnoxious mechanical clicking noise that gets worse under load. I'm guessing one of the internal fans got damaged in shipping.

I opened my ticket with a video and explanation - a quick "hey, this is the first boot I've not even hooked up a monitor and listen to this noise".

So far Steam support has asked me if I've modified or disassembled it, then told me to try factory resetting it, uninstall any third party plugins, and turn off "updated fan controller". Last I heard from them was early Wednesday that they're looking into it. No followup just complete radio silence.

As a Bolt fan, a 22/23 premier euv with all the bells and whistles is surprisingly affordable with only a few caveats.

Caveat one is they're speed limited to 92MPH. Probably not an issue. Second is more important - a slow DCFC (DC fast charge). If you want to go on long road trips though it probably isn't the car for you. Something like a used Ioniq 6 might be a better fit.

virsh destroy gives me so much anxiety.

No I just want to shut it down- oh that's how I do it. So destroy won't delete all the data?

I curse whoever decided destroy = shutdown.
