It doesn’t sound like this is directed at you when you’re not defending the invasion, so I don’t understand what this is a defense of. Nobody is saying the west is a saint either.

That’s not the same sound. I tried thinking of words in English that would use the sound, but I couldn’t come up with one. If you think duh has the sound, then you’re not pronouncing “eu” correctly in French.

The a in anyone is actually pronounced like æ. Unlike the a in hand.

The ø, however, is nothing like the o in one. It’s more like the eu in French, but doesn’t exist in English sounds. The Daniel word bøh (meaning boo) or øh (meaning uhm), does sound like the ir in bird, but that’s a rare pronounciation of ø that depends on the h.

I wish I understood, what are those comments and characters and what do they have to do with kde or gnome?

Yeah the underlying problems have to do with market power granted by certain laws and the systemic prevention of competition. In land markets there’s massive amounts of money going into keeping us from building more housing so that owners in scarce locations can stay rich. Land value taxes would solve that.

The best thing you can do in these situations is to ask a critically reflective question for them to sit with. You can and never have been able to change someone’s mind just like that. What you can is be part of the web of critical thoughts that help them towards thinking critically about their idea.

I never really hear people say that the free market will solve everything. Market failures are a thing and a dominant part of welfare economics.
