Gay married man nearing his 40s here
The REAL problem is when you accidentally go out wearing exactly the same thing... for the tenth time that week.
And how often we don't notice until somebody asks if we're twins.
Just glanced at it, but noticed a user (ayyy) was temp banned here 24 days ago for apparently telling a user to kys, then appointed mod here 45 minutes ago.
They handled the steam controller launch basically perfectly? To the point they actively screwed over any scalpers and made it essentially scalp-proof after the first drop got vacuumed up. No other product launch I've ever tried to buy has done as good a job as this.
Instead of having job security and working with a few H1B visa holders, now my entire division is apparently being moved to Bangalore. I definitely feel like I'm winning now.
My hosting costs are ~$500 a month. I get about $118 a month from Patreon subs. I also get $200 a month from a single advertiser. Still need to pay ~$200 a month out of pocket.
Ads suck, sure, but shit's expensive for hobbyists.
I've made some DIY smart home devices with some ESP32s, I know how much premade stuff can be overpriced for sure. I still want to make a TOF sensor for my water filter salt tank
We've gotten too used to the price of tech being so low because we're almost always the product. The Meta VR headsets, Alexa, Google Home, anything where data from us can be harvested, they'll gladly subsidize to help get it into our homes.
I'm really hoping the HA voice stuff keeps getting better and better, we need it if we're ever going to get people away from these data harvesting "assistants"
As a lemmy.ml account holder... I'm a bit out of the loop. I'm not tied to any single instance and can move to a new one (any recommendations?), but what does ml do that's bad? Honest question, promise, I don't follow this stuff very much
And this is exactly why I will never touch self checkout, especially at walmart

Just spitballing here, but isn't that like 90% of what makes a game? Or at the very least, literally any sequel?
Replacing "cars" with whatever is game-appropriate, of course

Can't wait for this to not go anywhere and have several dems finger-wag for the next several years saying there's nothing they can do
Git is to GitHub as porn is to PornHub. Simple as.

24TB Seagate drives are on sale for 249 right now, actually a good time to stock up
Mine was a $500 fee each for 2 cats, plus $25/ea per month. $3,400 over my stay there, and do you think I got my $400 security deposit back? Lol
Glad I got out when I did

Y'all Qaeda
Small dick energy
I'm pretty far left, but I wouldn't say "liberal", more like "this hexbear place seems pretty good"

Spirit isn't that bad, as long as you know what you're getting into. Frontier, on the other hand...
