Maybe a little, but the rise in the costs of AI will make a huge number of people to stop using it since it’s not that life changing, bringing the prices down again.
Well I did, the Amazon Prime Video has many weird behaviors on Firefox compared to the Chromium engine, even YouTube used to have before.
Any web developer knows it isn’t as simple as “code once, work everywhere”. If companies don’t test on Firefox (which is a reality nowadays given its small market share) bugs happen in very weird and unusual ways.
If you rely on the extensions API you have no choice. If those browsers want they can just add ad blocking somehow, the code is open source. In fact Brave has its Shields applied directly in the source code without relying on the extensions API.
And I feel like this war with Iran will just accelerate it. Lots of AI investment come from Arab countries, right? The ones who are suffering the damage from the war that Israel started because of their alliances.

I always said the end will come not from nuclear weapons, or solar flairs, asteroids etc. it will come from something that’s seemingly silent on the news and popular perception, but that will destabilize the whole system we depended on. It’s not just bugs that are vanishing at unprecedented rate, but all species.

Yeah, I think what makes Wikipedia resilient is that you can’t just go there and say something subjective. You need to find the correct way to state the actual fact, even when it can have different interpretations. Cause that way, no group can contest it.
I don’t know, even people here are already considering it a loss of the only way is through ADB, because it’s not practical for everyday usage. But it’s better than nothing.

Nope, Shields are built into the browser itself, not as an extension which uses those APIs. [1]

I’d love to play around with something like this, as a programmer myself, but unfortunately the cost is prohibitive in my country.

I think adb can also work over Wi-Fi, just like Android Studio can connect to the phone and build and install without plugging it.
But I guess those don’t have Google Play or anything Google, they’re more like a limited Android.
