But the AUR is (was?) the much tauted reason to use it! I had a pretty bad time with Arch and its derivatives, but I wonder if Arch + flatpak + distrobox (steamOS, basically?) could be great these days. Probably.
Man, I tried Sabayon twice (both a long time ago) and quickly regretted it both times. In my experience, it was extremely fragile. I had used Gentoo at the time and had a mostly good time with it, and wanted to try something that set it up easily.
I happen to agree with your assessment that talking like a pirate when you're being circumspect about copyright infringement is cringe. (Moer liek incringement, amirite?) I don't usually love to make judgements like that, but man, so-called "pirates" need to lighten up. They think they're warriors on the frontline of an important battle, but they're just downloading anime or whatever without paying. I do it too, but getting all self righteous about it is EMBARRASSING.
Incidentally, do you know a way to overwrite you comments now? My 15 year account was banned for absolutely ridiculous reasons, but all of the options to blank out my comments cost money or require having a reddit dev account. Which, obviously, I cannot acquire.
I can imagine such a scenario. I can imagine being a manager of a team, and having someone come in and say that, and just feeling dread and sympathy. You're right, and not all employment situations are the same, not all managers are psychopaths. For many, though, they are not working under such "managers."
But I'm grateful to you for pushing back against the pervading darkness in our collective mind. Let it not, however, dampen our efforts to seek a remedy.
From what I can tell, in Germany it's largely a "hope your medical insurance covers it" situation. Apparently, around 99.9% of people in Germany have health insurance in some form.
Yeah, he can do that, and I'll take poppers. The first one to contract AIDS will get $500,000 from Mr. Beast!
That's true, it is not legally required where I live, but it is still customary.
I sorta wish it was, though.

Yes! I used it as my main distro for a period. These days I'm all about Aurora/Bazzite, but I think I'd like to try it again.

Yeah, as much as I'd enjoy seeing bad things happen to their smarmy dipshit CEO, this is true.
I suppose a bill like this might help bring the issue to the attention of some number of people, at least.
Probably. It probably still feels nice to take a hatchet to it and limit reddit's value to others going further. As anti-social as that sounds.
My friend! Lol
Seems optimistic to me! I would expect "it is your responsibility to be here on time and ready to work. Leave earlier if you must."
French speaker fighting autocorrect, perhaps?
I remember the grainy low bit icon of a testicle on Windows.
