I really like yaupon holly, i got some lightly roasted leaves from an etsy person in north carolina. Im planning on checking out some local nurserys to have my own trees once im ready, last year i tried to grow camellia sinises but it could not thrive on my land - did have an amazing tea flower tea from it though, and one singular brewing of a very basic and early white tea. I think the yaupon holly will really thrive where i am, cant wait to find out if so!
I make it in the gongfu style of a fragrant oolong - very short fast steps - 3g in a 120ml gaiwan, 85c water, steeped for not more than a few seconds for the first handful of steeps. My batch has a long life, over 12 steeps, and ive pushed it 20 and it was still fine
Definitely worth checking out, especially if you live where it grows natively
An addendum to check out is the arts and crafts movement - it was an explicit counter campaign to the destruction of human skill - it was intentionally destroyed for favor of the factory owning elites.
We can revive it if we dared to slow down and appreciate inconvinence - if we accepted a human pace of innovation and creation and loved our own local artists and imperfections wed be so much better off.

And then i ship it - and let go - and its almost always good enough if not really well done and then it quickly fades into the past as the next project captures my hyperfocus (for better and worse lol)
Its so frustrating, i really like wearing colorful t shirts, cant find any new high quality with vibrant colors anymore, not even green, never mind purple! Even from manufacturers who sold colorful t shirts that i liked just 2 years ago.

Combine city skylines, civilization, and democracy - i want a society sim
Allow the players to get real unique with the shape of society and have the soc-sim give reasonable (or at least enjoyable) responses
Something that really enjoyably presses the point that society shapes both laws and city design and policy foriegn and domestic - some entity greater than the sum - an egregore - and that you as the player who can mold the clay of society - which society do you pilot to form the shape of your vision?
Aka: "google has the ability to unlock your phone at their will, and any security you put on your android is cute and only a cope"
