Also, you might want to put the backups in a dedicated partition or drive if you can, so you'd just have to reinstall pbs in case it get bad.
Yea that's the main plan, the laptop would hold the PBS system, but all backups would go straight to the NAS. if the laptop dies I can just find something else to put PBS on with minimal hassle.
Ah, I think we used some kind of closed cell, neoprene foam like this
As for making the shapes, I had a quick and dirty method if I needed something quick. Basically you just trace around the tool on pen and paper, and take a picture of it. Then upload to your favorite vector graphics software (we used Corel Draw), and draw the lines to match!
If you cared enough to make it more precise you could just keep tweaking the lines.
Oh man, this makes me miss one of my old jobs where we had this $70k laser engraver. I could use it to cut out custom shapes for just about any tool. God was that so satisfying!
This looks fantastic! Quick question, can the cabinet door smack into the mirror? If so I would recommend putting padding somewhere on the cabinet door.
This is my exact setup! I love symfonium because it lets me download specific playlists that I want to have at all times (in case of bad cell service), and feishin for my laptop/desktop where offline downloads aren't a concern.
I am still keeping an eye on Tempus though, if it gets good enough I might swap over since it'd be one less google play store app.
I just use a WireGuard VPN. Makes it so much more simpler. At this point I don't think I'll ever expose anything to the public internet, seems like too much of a headache.
I hope no one would crucify you for it, you're just trying to help :). I have a plan for offsite backups, but it's nice to know about alternatives.
Interesting, I'll take a look. Thanks!

Yea that's what I've seen so far, just a backup of the /etc/pve files and other network configs should be good enough I suppose.

Can't wait for vehicle jailbreaking to become the new norm!

What's the issue? I see at least three people of color, that's clearly enough representation! /s
Even worse on Linux, their stupid EA app breaks all the time. It took me 20 minutes fucking around to finally get it to work yesterday.
Thank fuck I just renewed mine. Hopefully this shitshow of a country will be slightly less of a shitshow by the time I have to get another.
Ah I'll just pop it in the ol' Raspberry Pi then, easy peasy.
This is why I will never let my TVs connect to my network, there's a reason they're so cheap nowdays.

It's absolutely mind boggling how fast penguins move in water!

Pack it up folks, this one wins
