Just finished a LAN party. I'm the chairman of the nonprofit that arranges it. Everything went smooth. So smooth I had bad anxiety the day before we started lol. The aula we rented is cleaned, and the extra chairs and tables we rented have been picked up.
Before the pandemic we used to have close to a 1000 guests. But unfortunately big LAN partys are dying, so this year we were only around 70.
I think we'll keep a smaller size, but aiming for a bit more than 100 next year. Because at this size, it's still really fun without all the extra stress and workload that comes from arranging a really big party
I've come to the realisation that it's always going be a struggle to pick it up after a missed day, and that's fine. Sometimes you miss. The important part is that you're doing something.
I've gone to the gym on and off for several years now, my longest streak was five months, with twice a week. Sometimes I don't go for two weeks, sometimes I just do it once, or do it twice and don't put that much effort in, and that's FINE!
Remember that. It's okay to miss a day, even though it ruins a "streak". Just pick it up again.
Easier said than done, I know, but letting yourself fail, and not feeling all the worlds dread and failure because you didn't go to the gym today is kind of nice!
Nicotine and motorcycle riding. Living in a country where it's way too cold to ride 3-4 months of the year(and not that pleasant for an additional two) is hard. I honeslty feel a physical need to ride my bike. It makes me feel so god damn good
