I stopped paying for subscriptions a while back in favor of Jellyfin/ad-based competitors and was floored by how much bigger their libraries are with far more respectable privacy policies (some don't even require an email address)
Only real "drawback" is they aren't as much part of the current zeitgeist
For those who haven't seen it, the first season is great and works perfectly fine stand-alone (plus his name isn't Peter Parker so they aren't bound by Marvel's character restrictions)
Honestly I don't know but I think renewals should become more expensive over time. Maybe 20 years of protection then every decade thereafter renew for 1 million USD * age of IP or something
Renew Batman for 90 million? Sure
Sit on Green Hornet, John Carter and/or League of Extraordinary Gentlemen for another decade? No. Either make something, sell it off to somebody who will or let it go public
