Like seriously... We don't have as many issues with racism against black peeps in Germany (as the US has), but that's because very few live here at all.
"Our" racism targets eastern Europeans and (in my region) Turkish ppl, but I guess that's not racist because they're close enough in skin tone? (/s obviously)
Prices are high in germany... It's next to impossible to even find someone willing to work on non-industrial jobs in my region (unless you're willing to fork over like 300€/hr for someone working the weekend) and material costs are sky-high as well.
Replacing our old gas heaters with new ones (pre covid, around 2020 i think) was over 8k€ per apartment if I remember correctly. (4-family home) That's without having to factor in new pipes or what inflation has done to prices here during/after covid.
I was looking into a Framework Desktop, but even adding a 150€ PSU on top of the 7900XTX right now (before I have resold my old GPU) would be stretching things. It's definitely on my wishlist, but not realistic with my current income.
And I'm definitely too impatient to wait until 2028, especially since it isn't a guarantee...
I'm not really interested in shortening the lifespan of my hardware with overclocking, especially considering current prices for replacements, so I'm safe on that front :)
I'll look into undervolting once the card actually gets here and I can test stuff. Sadly the two variants that are actually available for a sane price here (reference design cards are over 40% more expensive) seem to be manufacturer OCd, but afaik I should easily be able to underclock as well using the tools available, in case it becomes necessary.
Thanks for your input :) I'll definitely also look into a kill-a-watt (or whatever similar tool is available here), I was interested in the actual power consumption of my system anyways.
I can also only recommend Fritz!Box (I have the 7590). The OS does everything I need for my home network and I've had no problems with it since I got it about 6 years ago. Quick correction, it was 5 years ago, I looked up the recipe to be accurate.
I've had very few problems with KDE Plasma (on Fedora) since I swapped to it like a year ago. Discover is being weird every now and then, but I mostly use dnf directly anyways.
For me personally (Fedora 43 KDE) about 80% of unity games that don't have a native build refused to run at all.
No problems at all since I swapped to a non-flatpak Steam install.
OTOH I'm having trouble with pretty much all flatpak apps in some way or another... might just be my system that's being weird.
That's spot on. Freddy, the one on the right, is constantly chasing anything that moves, be it a piece of string, a toy, or even fast moving shadows, while his brother Teddy watches from a safe distance.
It's honestly quite hard to animate Teddy to play, because more often than not he'd rather just watch his brother being silly.
It's regional. You'd likely get some funny looks if you said "Wohlsein" anywhere in the north or north-west of Germany.
(Pretty sure "Gesundheit" is also the standard in Köln, but it's been a few years since I last visited my family in the region.)

Thanks for your input though :) appreciate it.
