have fun! take advantage of the availability of m43 stuff while you're there, it's basically non-existent here in the states...

absolutely, i am currently just cautiously optimistic for now. i own the first gen om-5 and i still feel burned at how they released a camera in 2022 with micro usb and the old version of their interface. om system has definitely made some anti-consumer decisions before and im sure we'll see some more of that surface with the pen. 4k30 8 bit video is a glaring example, i just hope that's the worst of it.

i actually think i failed to capture just how large the moon seemed in person. i took a number of shots to try and frame the scene differently, but the moon's position was still a bit too high to punch in while also effectively including the landscape to establish perspective. if the socal smog weren't there and if i waited an hour or so, the shot probably could've been better with the moon closer to the horizon. ah well, live and learn

one of the subtle pain points of federated social media... every instance seems to have a different image hosting configuration. i originally tried to use my blahaj account to post here but it kept eating my uploads :(

great shot though! cool to see all the little details in the full size image. that bridge is one of the most scenic city bridges i've ever crossed by car, especially at night!

watching the fog silently drift through the trees has always been a magical experience. i would love to move up to the pnw some day.

honestly i love the fogged up version. i occasionally like to shoot with a black mist filter and less saturation though, so maybe im more biased towards bloom-heavy shots

also, another bonus just for fun because i like how creepy it turned out. taken with my phone at the second ski lift along devil's backbone trail at 3:16 in the morning

also reuploaded to jpeg because wow pictrs avif recompression mangled the hell out of the details

oh man, i feel this spiritually. recently went on what started out as a hike with promising weather, only for it to turn sour in the last hour towards the peak. ah well, at least it's exercise. and there's always next time
