You can grow your own tobacco. Once you do, never buy someone else's (big tobaccos) crops.

It's cheaper, you'll probably smoke a lot less of it (you have to make each harvest last until the next crop is ready!), and you'll have more fun with it when you do (pipe or rolling your own smokes, bragging rights, etc).

Heat the frozen veggies in the broth instead of microwave (keeps any remaining water soluble nutrients in the dish, and makes the veggies less wilted imo).

Try different frozen veggies (green beans, carrots, corn, spinach, avocado?).

Most fresh veggies can be sliced or diced into it as well whenever there's a good price on them, and the taste and texture provides avriety from frozen veggies, but in my experience frozen are usually cheaper. But half a fresh bell pepper can give plenty of good crunch of you add it raw on top. Or thinly sliced or chopped cabbage.

Add one or a half package of drained ready-to-eat beans (packages in water, not dry) for fiber, protein and minerals.

Experiment with different spices and sauces to put on top. Coconut milk, peanut butter, soy sauce, sriracha, sesame oil, crushed tomatoes..anything you've got available can go in (but not everything goes well on the same occasion). The more you spice it yourself the less you need to put of any included spice mix, which is mostly salt, while the noodles themselves are usually also mostly salt.

I emailed my interviewer and said that this was my first interview in the field and asked what I could expect from the interview and what to prepare ahead of time.

I made me a lot calmer and more confident knowing what to expect.

I got the job.

YMMV.

The closer you get to 50, the less it will feel or sound like a long life.

Health problems starting to become more frequent is not the same as becoming suddenly and incurably frail and ill. I know multiple people who are much healthier at fifty than at thirty, because they found the drive and ability/access to take care of their health.

So many things can be better at fifty than at twenty or thirty. Why would you not want to live through those good years after struggling to get there? And even if it's not better, it's still good.

You can still learn to skateboard, just wear more protective gear and take some ibuprofen the next day. Doesn't mean skateboarding isn't fun or worth trying, or life not worth living.

You can still see friends and family, just have two beers instead of ten, or talk shit about your boss instead of your teacher, or go to a movie matinee instead of midnight showing. It's still fun and worth spending time with your loved ones, and life is still worth living.

To think... this is how I find out I'm a bad person lol.

My thinking brain knows that happy sounds are better. But my feeling brain just says "nope, I'd rather hear their pain".

Not who I want to be, but here we are. Got some work to do.

One piece of advice would be: Don't ask for help if you're never going to accept it. Don't ask for advice unless you're prepared to listen.

People will not want to keep helping or advising you when they see that their help and advice is being ignored over and over. People want to help, but not if you are choosing to stay in trouble rather than accept the help offered.

Enough people have told you that you're not in the emotional or financial state to do trading, and have given you alternatives for investment suitable for your age, ability, and budget.

When will you listen to the advice you're asking for?

The first one sounds more neutral to me, just mentally add a questionmark or a "right?" to it. They're leaving space for you to respond if the statement is true or not. This is kinda like how conversations go, people leave space for the others to chime in and take their part in it.

If someone "claims" something happened, it seems like an accusation or interrogation.

The main takeaway is that everyone interprets things differently and prefer different styles of communication. Just keep in mind that your interpretation is not always the same as what is being intended.

I don't know about thin skinned... it depends on a bunch of factors aside from mere words and pauses, written down here. Do you generally tend towards the defensive (feeling attacked/accused/wronged in conversation, and in turn faulting the other person for feeling that way) when dealing with other people or in certain settings?

No, women don't know other people's feelings (unless they've been told).

Some women are very good at guessing, or interpreting signals, just as some women are terrible at it. Most women, like most humans, are better at interpreting emotions in people they already know very well as opposed to strangers, but it's still a guess regardless of how close to the truth it is.

Maybe some women are supernatural mind-readers, but most I've met have been regular humans, with regular human powers.

I've heard laser toys aren't that good in the long run, since they never get to catch anything which can lead to frustration and poor behaviour or dissatisfaction.

If you're playing with a laser toy, sometimes during and particularly towards the end of the session, point it at another toy or a piece of food/a treat so they can successfully grab/kill/eat something.

Unless the wife has confirmed it, I'd assume he's cheating... it's just such a classic cheater-story.

Actually it's a great idea to get them delivered with signature required. I rarely miss a medical delivery because I order it for a time-slot I know I'll be at home anyway. If I miss one, they'll leave the package at the corner store which is open longer, and I'll can sign for it there almost any time of day.

It's not about "trust", it's about working within your limitations and removing hurdles for yourself and others to get the help and medication we need and have a right to. It's also incredibly helpful for people with mobility issues (temporary or permanent) to be able to sign for their meds at the door instead of making an excursion of it.

Your comment sounds quite rude about it, but maybe you're misinformed about the diagnosis (and should learn more before forming such strong opinions about it), or maybe you just need to consider what words you pick in writing - so I'll assume it wasn't intentionally mean-spirated.

on how to earn money ? · c/asklemmy · 1 pts · 50d

To earn a lot of money, you need a lot of time.

Of there was a way to earn a lot, safe and fast, everyone would be doing it.

The people eho do earn a lot of money fast are either extremely lucky (you are not) or extremely rich in contacts and opportunities (i don't think you are based in this question, but that may change).

The people who make real, big reliable money, have absolutely no need to sell their story, so anyone promising to make you rich if you just pay them for a course, mentorship, life coaching etc, are lying. The only money they make is the same money you give them.

The people who share their "rich lifestyles" and how-tos for free, are doing so for ad-revenue and sponsorships. They are lying about how to get to their level of money.

Basically, there are no short cuts and no easy money. Especially if you have a basic level of moral integrity and choose not to victimise other people.

You earn a lot of money by earning a little money, and not spending all of it. Save it or grow it (safe index funds for example), or spend it to get yourself into higher earnings (specialised education, necessary training, learning a different language, moving for better opportunities, etc).

Moving (new positin, new employer, new career path, new city or new country) is often necessary to earn more relatively fast.
