I consider myself a picky eater, although my tastes have evolved over the years. There are certain types of food that I have never liked (but will eat). I do not like extremely bland food, like cooked potatoes or certain cooked vegetables. What I also dislike is food that tastes processed, like store bought pasta sauce. I do try almost every food.

Your colleague just sounds narrow-minded. Their loss.

Hated by who?

As a person, he is absolutely vile and disgusting. For one thing, he raped children and recently killed ~160 school girls. He combines the crookedness of Nixon, the dementia of Reagan, the genius of W and the child molesting of Clinton into one person.

From the perspective of a citizen of a EU country that has blindly followed the US for several decades, I'd like to add one more thing. He is the first president who put a dent in the alliance between the US and Europe and who is really not our friend. He threatened Denmark and Greenland, puts random tariffs on EU products out of spite and worst of all, he appears to be a tool of Vladimir Putin, who has invaded a EU member.

I do not think that 'hate' covers what I feel about this absolute piece of human garbage, but he is definitely one of the worst persons currently alive.

I do not have any tattoos yet, but if I start, my first one will be the text "Don't panic" in big friendly letters. Probably somewhere on my lower arm, for me to read if necessary.

Better unpopular opinion: US-style peanut butter is disgusting. It is sweetened and has an off-putting structure. European style peanut butter is way better.

More popular opinion: the best topping for peanut butter is sambal, which is an Indonesian style chilli paste

Maybe it's just bias and the bad shows are simply not remembered anymore?

Then again, many popular shows of old are just plainly unfunny.

Here's a few words of self-proclaimed wisdom: use soap or cream with a decent brush. Avoid the foam or the gel. Soap does not have to be expensive. If you live in or near Germany, buy the Palmolive stuff. It's dirt cheap and works well.

Your choice of blade is personal. I personally love the Feathers or green Astras and avoid Personna or Lord like the plague. Some Gillette blades are quite decent too (I like the ones you buy in France). Some shaving shops offfer starter sets with multiple brands.

When you shave, do at least two passes: one with the grain and one across the grain. Some people do against the grain as well, but others prefer not to due to ingrown hairs.

Finally, there is a nice wet shaving community with its own lemmy instance. It is a nice community.
