There will be a SECU Committee meeting on C-22 later today, where the committee will be performing a clause by clause review of Bill C-22, and voting on amendments. It may be the final meeting. You can watch it live by clicking the "Watch on ParlVu" button on the meeting notice page: https://www.ourcommons.ca/DocumentViewer/en/45-1/SECU/meetin... Direct link to the upcoming live ParlVu video: https://parlvu.parl.gc.ca/Harmony/en/PowerBrowser/PowerBrows...

After bill C-22 leaves the SECU Committee, it will be sent to the House of Commons for the third reading and a final vote before being sent to the Senate.

If you are a Canadian citizen, you can also use the following tools to message your MP:

You can also email Gary Anandasangaree (gary.anand@parl.gc.ca), Marc Carney (mark.carney@parl.gc.ca), and Sean Fraser (sean.fraser@parl.gc.ca), and tell them that any weakening of encryption or suspicionless retention of metadata is unacceptable.

Hi everyone, I think it's important for all of us to stand together on this issue. The internet is a place for everyone to gather and share ideas, and to create something positive for everyone. With this new power, the government will be able to spy and feed your life into AI systems in the future. Therefore creating a sort of "thought police" of the future. This is one step of many to control the population, don't think this will end here. I will also warn people, if you can help it, never use your real name or share your political opinions online, because it can be weaponized against you in the future.

Yeah there are bad people, and you need to protect yourself. But I'm just pointing out what she wrote in her book. It's still unfair to treat all men like criminals when there are good people out there. I believe you can attract the right partner by treating them with a better attitude.

Thanks, I started this to get peoples perspectives. I've had much better experiences in other places, so no need to feel bad.

This section of the article lays out why Canada’s legal system is being treated as a joke by these criminals-

“Gangs are also expert at exploiting the weaknesses in Canadian immigration policy. Many of their members are present in Canada illegally, often on expired student visas. Some were already known criminals in their home countries, who somehow escaped proper vetting on entry.

Last December, at least 14 suspects avoided deportation by claiming refugee status, buying themselves years of time in Canada, along with subsidised health care and social programmes, according to Vancouver immigration lawyer Richard Kurland. They now cannot be deported until the Refugee Protection Division rules on the merit of their claims – with a multi-year backlog of refugee cases to be processed ahead of them.”

This is a review: I have the Orange PI AI studio thing, 96gb ram and two NPUs, using gpustack, the best I've gotten is qwen3-30b-a3b with around a 100k context window - runs at 25-28tps

There are some weird quirks with it, I've mostly been constrained to using MindIE as a backend which doesn't support all models. I've tried vLLM but it tends to crash and complain it can't talk to both NPUs.

Overall I'm pretty happy with it though
