This bullshit isn't even on the dotard anymore. He is clearly unwell. This is on all Americans: do something about your demented asshole. Call your fucking senator, call your fucking congressman: demand the 25th amendment be invoked.
You are undervaluing the importance of planning the structure and content of what you are writing. The first draft is where future excellence is established. No amount of editing can fix a bad foundation - you can't polish a turd.
Yeah, I am happy about the railcars and I think investing in rail is a legitimate way to fight climate change. I just take issue with the size of the Green Investment Pledge. All countries need to do more - especially rich ones like Canada.
To answer your question, though: no. Some people are doing GREAT. It may not be a majority of people, but anyone who was rich in 2015 is now super rich. The super rich are now obscenely rich. Even a majority of the moderately well-off - e.g. people who own their houses outright or people with >3 times their annual income in investments - are doing pretty damn well. That is part of the reason that Trump, no matter how vile or incompetent, never dips below 30% approval. People will overlook all kinds of evil when their bottom line is improving.
Why would this deserve an Ig Nobel prize? The implications of this study are important and highly relevant to the social predicament that western societies face. This is science getting directly to the root of the problem with humanity. If we want to hand out prizes ridiculing useless science, maybe consider baldness treatments etc. (hats already exist).
The USA would implode 3 days after trade with China ends (and current inventories are depleted). There is so much about American life that makes no fucking sense if there are no widgets to buy.
Keep in mind that conservatives will complain about low fertility among teens with one breath, and shame 'slutty' teen mothers with the next breath. It's not that conservatives don't care about young women - it's that they actively hate them.
It's ok if you like drip coffee. It's ok if you hate drip coffee. The important thing is to know what you like: I once had a friend who was regularly buying fancy machines, always dissatisfied. One time he mentioned that he really liked the coffee at my house - I was serving regular drip coffee from an old-fashioned cuisinart. Don't buy into coffee snobbery.
I agree with part of what he said: “Israel is disgusting”
Dig him up and shoot him again.

Wow. 1.3 billion.
For perspective, my government just pledged 4.7 billion dollars for new railcars. My country represents 0.5% of the population of Earth.
Even if countries keep their pledge, 1.3B is a joke.
Well, MAGA has always had a figurative (and, apparently, literal) boner for Spartans.
If that is their intention, I can dig it. I thought it was straight-up ridicule.
I love the candour: "just stop grifting until your power is insuperable. Then, by all means, grift, grift, grift!"
I did not read the article. However, a statement like "there is no precedent" is value-neutral. Maybe they are saying it is a good thing?
I am loath to instruct Trump, but I can't resist pointing out that in a hostage situation, one is not supposed to hold the gun to one's own head.
Edit: spelling. Loath, not loathe
I am.

I wonder if he will be that casual when it happens to Usha and his kids.

Minor adjustment: 'Trump's Strait'
It has an Achilles' Heel ring to it.
There used to be a saying: "Don't get high on your own supply." I love that MS is succumbing to the nefarious effects of its own harmful products.
100% not targeted at you, haha. i was apostrophizing
