Not a whole lot on its face. But eventually, everything graphical and modern will be Wayland-first and it’ll be the expected native experience under the hood. There’s also the slight security bump of app isolation, less screen tearing without hacks, and better multi monitor support.
Doubtful. And for the same reason this ‘basically-a-one-liner’ is neat
Not everybody knows or cares what a one liner is. Noe everyone is a competent user. Some people just want to drag and drop. Some people come from the Mac world and want things to work that way. Some people don’t and still want it 🤷
I’m going to bet there’ll be a lot of folks unhappy with this quote:
I suspect it’s a lot of AI tool use that will keep finding corner cases for us for a while, so this may be the “new normal” at least for a while. Only time will tell.
That's good. I do think this kind of thing works a little better on the more chatty OSes like Windows and mac, but it's still good to have a way to be sure.
Talked about this one a little last night in the recording and I think it’ll end up in the small preshow segment. Wouldn’t you know it, WinBoat shows up! Seems like the tides are rising for them 😏
Yeah.. I have a feeling Xbox will go away, the interesting bits get vacuumed up into Windows and Steam Machine becomes the Android of the console world, where PlayStation is the Apple.
And Nintendo continues to do its thing away from everyone else over there in that corner.
Previously you needed to install the Multi Account Container plugin to use them. Now, they're native, if I understand... I still have the MAC plugin.

Linux is pretty big these days.
100% lickable. Don’t let your dreams be dreams.

Oh I agree. We just get lots of comments to that sentiment. I’m not a huge AI fan personally, but if the results are good. They’re good.
