These people retraining or going back home and into other industries could be an economic boom in the making.

I have. I enjoyed the heck out of it, it's a retelling definitely intended for modern audiences with some things removed and additional historical context added.
It's an excellent telling of an old story that reminds you that the Iliad was not truly glorious, and those that go to war will not come back the same.
