It really depends. I've seen hallways with OR logic for the switches. But I feel like that was not on purpose, because I really can't think of a proper use case for that.

from the posts here it seems like the end is available so if you have shulkers there is a client side mode to add bundle-like functionality to shulkers and the ender chest, allowing you to put items into the chests without having to place them down

edit: this mod has that feature for shulkers, but I can't find the one that adds the same for the ender chest... oh well
