A section of the book where Francis states that homosexuality is not a crime and that gay and transgender people are welcomed in the church has been struck out by being covered by solid black lines in the Russian edition.

His thoughts on the inclusion of transgender people in Catholic rites such as baptism have also similarly been struck out.

I think you're right in general. I think juniors and those who havent yet had experience are not going to understand a goddamn thing and produce broken, insecure, unmaintainable slop.

I've written my share of garbage code -- completely by hand! And i'm much better for it.

Once you have that experience, once you've written a few backends and frontends, there's not much left to understand. Move the data from here to there. Display it, transform it, slice it up. For webdev AI is a huge force multiplier. I can make a dozen features or apps in the time it used to take me to learn one framework I was curious about. It even helps me learn faster because of how quickly I can test new patterns and ideas.

There's certainly a right way to use it if you want to continue being edified, burning the planet down aside.

Go get tested. Your ADHD is the obstacle to you getting tested! Starting tasks sucks, right? Ever feel paralyzed like you actually can't do something? Even something simple, like the dishes or taking a walk. Ever experience extreme mood swings based on little things, or feel like everyone else seems to have an easier time doing, well, everything? Do you find it hard to reach out to people? Even ones you like or love? Racing thoughts? Always-on worst case scenario generator in your head?

I had it all in spades. Never diagnosed because I was oh-so-very promising and smart and anything I couldn't or didn't do was laziness, stubbornness. I got my diagnosis very late. Well after school and first jobs. Took a year of therapy and I still didn't wanna try the pills. I'm not broken, right? I should be able to do this myself.

It's night and day now. I will sing the praises of medication until the cows come home. I can call the doctor. Schedule the oil change. I can reach out. I maintain a journal and a planner, something I have not been able to do for 30 years, despite desperately wanting to. It's harder to overwhelm me now. Even days I don't take my meds are better.

There is no reason you should have to continue suffering, and there's a solid chance you don't know how much you are suffering because you have never known anything else.

Hell even if you don't have ADHD, you'll learn something about yourself and be better for it. If you're American, I hope you can afford it. It's worth it. If you're not American, then what are you waiting for? ❤️

You read the parent comment as completely serious and used it to rail against an assumed or imagined vegan boogeyman. Sounds tongue in cheek to me. I'm still waiting to see this "obnoxious vegan" everyone's talking about. I know they exist, but all I see are angry meat eaters complaining about them

technically all weed is just weed and really the only difference is the terpenes and maybe the THC versus CBD ratio. I used to think people who said the strains were different were ignorant and just experiencing a placebo effect until I smoked regularly and understood that the effects are indeed completely different and must be influenced by terpenes or other chemicals in the plant, cuz otherwise how are they so different?
