If a septum piercing is done correctly (and you have average anatomy), it shouldn't be very painful and doesn't touch any bone/hard cartilage because there's what's called a "sweet spot" inside your nose underneath the hard cartilage that's thin and soft that the piercing should go through.

Do you have Ardene or Garage where you live? They're sort of fast fashion type stores like Forever 21. Garage is definitely better quality (and fit, in my opinion) than Ardene but it's also noticeably more expensive. I suggest Garage if there's a sale.

They are back! I've seen young people wearing them!

And they're not quite as low as the old ones, I know because I had been wearing my old pair from high school but they finally wore out so I bought a new pair and I'm no longer in danger of showing off the old whale tail.

They call them flared leggings now though.

Making soup is as close to brewing a potion as you can get, can't wait.

Certainly not everyone's cup of tea:

  • Eggs
  • Mirin
  • Miso

Eggs are such a good source of protein but I get bored of the conventional ways to make them so I started scrambling them with mirin and miso and I like them a lot more.

Do you think they can't be removed? It's just an earring but for your nose.

Nah I was squinting at the picture trying to find it.

Uni.

I'll be honest, I like it. It has a soft texture, nice mild buttery flavour, and can be incorporated into various dishes though is commonly eaten on its own as sashimi.

If we just met, yes it is rude. We're strangers, my life story is none of your business. If we're more than acquaintances, I expect it would come up naturally at some point in conversation so not rude (hopefully).

I'm a visible minority so I have to weed out the people who are just trying to satisfy their curiosity about why I'm not white. Those people don't ever accept the answer that I'm from Vancouver, or that my parents are from Winnipeg. I will never be Canadian enough for those people because of how I look.

Nobody ever asks my white spouse out of nowhere whether he speaks X language even though he's given no indication that he does, and nobody ever asks him where he's really from.

Don't worry, mine is extremely cheap and it does the job. I also get those tiny scabs sometimes, and for me it's from ripping out a particularly thick hair.

For taking care of your skin, don't overcomplicate it! Exfoliating is definitely a good start, and always remember to moisturise. You shouldn't need to pay an arm and a leg and incorporate 37 steps to keep your skin healthy.

Do you tend to have sensitive skin? Maybe you need to change up your skincare routine. Or you may just need some time to get used to it. It is kind of a violent action to rip hairs out of your skin after all. It gets easier though, fewer hairs come back and I find it doesn't even hurt anymore.

I highly recommend epilating! Like waxing, you're pulling the hair out by the root so it lasts a long time, but unlike waxing, you're not also pulling your skin. Just like doing a coat of primer before you start painting, you may need to do a bit of a shave first, but the maintenance after that is very easy.
