Kinda. Fighting words have been so narrowed as to be functionally meaningless. Cohen v Californa (I think?) basically said "emotions alone aren't enough."

Practically, fighting words have to rise to the level of being reasonably interpreted as an imminent threat to get outside of First Amendment protection.

In this case, sounds like the assholes yelled their slurs and kept moving, so that wouldn't justify the use of force.

The one who attacked the humans in the future (when the picture of Sarah gets burned) was a totally different look than Arnold, right?

The general sentiment (don't downvote just because you disagree) is correct, but the context of it is a bit different.

The comment heavily implies ("... simple truth...") that their statement is reasonable and correct. But in reality, their statement is whackadoo nonsense and downvoting that kind of thing is completely reasonable.

Seems reasonable on its face, but I'd love to see what the "rebound" times are for getting back to normal.

Like, I know that my computational speed goes up when I use a calculator and I suffer without it. But when I get back into the swing of mental math, I feel like I return to a baseline. Do the doctors who get worse at spotting cancer bounce back after they realize they've gotta do it without AI?
