I'm lucky to live in France so there's plenty of affordable and good local wine but I'll definitely keep an eye on the import section for that one. Heard good things about Californian wines. So I was already curious but never actually tried any.
Depends on the wine. I wanted to see for myself so I bought 2 bottles from the same producer. Same type of wine and stuff as well. One bottle was 25-ish€ and the other was 80-ish. I could instantly tell which the more expensive wine was. Then I asked my wife to taste without telling her which is which. She could also instantly tell. Was it worth the price? Fuck no. I usually buy in the 10-15 range from a guy that I trust since supermarket stuff is hit and miss and I like trying new ones, not just buying the same one every time.
But there's so many examples out there of people that don't try very hard and are still very good at stuff while others work twice as hard and can't surpass them. What do you call that if not talent?
I'm sure you have cheese pizzas and they're distinct from quattro formaggi. I'm not saying there isn't. I'm just answering your question. As a non-american, the only pizza with cheese is quattro formaggi. All the others are just "pizza". Because all the others have tomato sauce + mozzarella as a base.
Except supermarket pizzas which sometimes have cheaper cheeses on them. But they're still just pizza, not "cheese pizza".

For me, doom is slow and sad, hopeless. As we go down the list, it'll be less and less like this, but the sound/vibe will still be there, imo despite the change is style/lyrics.
There's only one album that I'd call perfect for my tastes and that's warning - watching from a distance.

Go to any country other than the US and ask a local "Are you american?". They're all gonna say the same thing. "No, I'm Mexican/Canadian/Chilean/etc."
Whenever a word has multiple meanings, you're supposed to use context to figure out which one is being used. Well, the article title mentions the US government. It's also a very common phrase with a well established meaning. Check out Green day's american idiot, for example.

Nope. For metal the suggestions are like you said. Either generic or limited. I usually just look up "more bands like x" and use the results. Usually a mix of last.fm + reddit + other sites. Another thing I'd do is use rateyourmusic and browse by genre. For Symphonic metal, for example. Sometimes there's genre specific sites. Like the progarchives where I go as well from time to time.
Oh, many subreddits also have discord servers so maybe look into that as well.

Because Helter skelter came out in 68 and tons of people listened to it. MC5 were obviously important but their first concert outside of Michigan was also in 68 and their first album wasn't out until 1970. Only a live album and some singles before that. So they're a lot less influential no matter how you look at it. The first metal song could've actually been written in 1961 but if it's some demo that only 5 people have ever listened to, it doesn't really matter, does it? (Unless one of those 5 people was Tony Iommi or something xD)
I'm not a Beatles fan, but too many musicians credit them as inspirations so they were obviously important.

As for the others.. lungo and allongé are the same thing, which is usually an espresso but you let more water flow through the coffee. Usually at least twice as much. Americano is usually just an espresso to which you add a bunch of hot water. Usually to fill one of those bigger mugs till you get to like 150-200ml
