It's nice to know that other people have also dumpster dumped a valuable.

My dad and I searched for said valuable for hours before finally giving up.

My dad wasn't happy that I threw something so costly in the dumpster. And though he wasn't a dick about it, I've always carried the pain for throwing it.

ADHD hidden fees if you prefer the long version)

I wonder if ADHD fine would work better, because of the implication that it is a mandatory penalty.

I like to buy rock climbing pants because lots ...

My pants do have zipper pockets, but would you know it ...I forgot to zip them up.

I've done it again. I've wasted my time. This is the umpteenth time, I am floundering about with ideas in my head, splaying on my bed like a bloated corpse on its way down the creek, wallowing in the tart indifference—the very same that I show to the idea of a career—that the world around so casually shows towards me.

But I tell you, it's the futility of my game that traps me here, and not a voluntary imprisonment agreement.

I know for a fact that every fabric of my story has been spun by someone other than me, entirely. Patterns upon patterns—that I see everywhere: on the walls, in the drawers, in action of others, and even in my planned reactions—remind me of that very fact.

It's too late to think any less of it, even if I were to try.

Now, I would never dare try.

I am satisfied with the answers that I have found.

I feel the same way. I wonder if it's a trauma response - overcompensating so as to not disappoint the person infront of me.

on The "JUST 2 MINUTES" rule · c/adhd · 7 pts · 55d

I often find that It's much easier to finish something I've started than start something I haven't.

Yeah, exactly!

It works for me only when I don't have a close deadline. The stress of a close deadline is just very hard to deal with. I can't think straight enough to "just do it for two minutes". My brain won't allow me to work only for two minutes at that stage, it's either do it or don't.

Yeah, there's certainly a degree to how SciFi something is.

But you could remove their scifi elements and tell star wars and Dune as fantasy stories and you wouldn't loose too much substance. I'd call them science fantasy at best.

But star trek, though it has magic, relies heavily on the SciFi concepts to tell a story. I'd consider it SciFi through and through.

I've always thought of scifi being very adjacent to fantasy.

Dune, star wars are basically fantasy stories packaged with scifi elements.

I've always wondered what makes a SciFi story SciFi and I've come to the conclusion that for it to be SciFi it must be an exploration of how technology effects the human condition.

What do you think?
