Earlier this year they started ranting about children supporting terrorism and no one understood what was going on. Until they revealed that some kids had written "Stop killing children" with chalk on the sidewalk. All because of TV news with anchors and all that. Not even some far right or conservative channel, just traditional and usually pretty neutral news. But they leave out 90% of what is going on.
Everyone should stay faar away from anything calling itself a militia, even if it was originially done ironically. It is basically a self-fulfilling prohpecy and it will attract the wrong type of people.
If you actually want to learn, contact your nearest competetive shooting club. They usually have "open days" where people can come in and try guns while learning some of the basics.
