there is always the need for work in the sense of "labor", regardless of the society we live in. it's a question of who benefits from this labor, who decides what labor is prioritized, and how the fruits are distributed.

i love the control and freedom of having to spend all my attention on not killing anyone, making sure other drivers don't kill me, paying tolls to use the fastest routes, being tracked everywhere I go, paying tons in taxes to maintain all these roads and subsidize fuel, and being forced to drive so every time i want to leave my home even if i don't feel like it. /s

It's up to you to organize with your neighbors against them, because they will tear your society apart as they are doing in the US and elsewhere. They may start with your border police or other specialized forces before attempting to coopt local police.
