true, but for getting a job, it is quite important to be "up to date" woth the field of work. think of what happens to people that are closer to retiring, they're seen as "obsolete" because of this
Well Japan has never been colonized, but you could represent a country that excerted foreign influence, maybe? Although thay relation wouldnt be as direct as - "Straight up colonized".
True, it became an international citizen like all libre software. Im just proud that it was born in Mexico, in Latin America not much public recognition is had for local software. There's a perception that most services are from abroad. Thats why i phrased the original post title like that (cross posted). More like a "if it had a nationality, it would be mexican" kinda thing.
This just explains why the +Calls & SMS plans are necessary (avoid local networks that track everything and are backdoors). I think the high price may be due to high cost of calling infrastructure or access to functional numbers?
I do exactly the same. Basically GMaps WV for checking traffic and places not registered on OSM. Plus I love contributing with adding places to CoMaps through OSM.
I do use dual boot, but still have Winboat on the Linux side because some windows specific apps that aren't demanding. The ones that are demanding in performance are the ones that I use on Windows natively.

and Federico Mena, both have cool contributions to libre software.
It depends on the country. I'm looking into a plan with 10gb for 30 days, priced at $13usd.
Theres only one plan for calls & sms, which is $80usd/month. I wonder why so expensive.
