I'm so glad I see less of that for the most part. Even the old creepy guys eventually moved on and say, "come on dude, really?" with the overly crassness
Summit is what I moved to after sync. It makes me pretty sad because I used sync for reddit and it was perfect but the port to lemmy left a sour taste. I used it until I realized the client was the cause of my issues
I gave the dev some leeway because they were known to go afk but then come back with an update that was "worth" the wait. This time feels like a complete cash grab and I'm not at all about that so moved on
Summit was the closest client I found to sync and was a super easy transition. I tried a few others but Summit is what stuck
we humans are a significant contributor to global warming. But, in reality, the CO2 we’re breathing out is part of a natural cycle, by which our bodies convert carbohydrates from CO2-absorbing plants into energy, plus water and CO2. As such, we’re not adding any extra CO2.
be mad; read headlines; parrot social media; here's another quote:
In contrast, burning fossil fuels like coal releases CO2 which has been locked up for millions of years, producing a net contribution to global warming.
I'm just stopping in from all, and I just wanted to say I love this and appreciate how much knowledge and passion is here in this post. I've learned some things 💚
I love watching videos of canal boats and traversing the country by canals and some of the crazy locks and lifts they go through. Unfortunately I don't live where that's a thing but it's absolutely something I'd love to do. It's got to be so freeing?
I visited Disney World in Florida. They've got a LOT of water and a boat transportation system that I think could be analogous, and I loved it. Obviously a little different intent between the two but getting directly from point A to point B is so nice versus taking surface roads that go AROUND the water
Where I live also has a lot of water and I've daydreamed so hard about living on a boat. There's something about having the constraints of minimalism and freedom that is so romantic to me
Well yeah ok, me too, but I was giving my personal experience and it was an offhand comment. I get that the ones that commit offences aren't being punished
I went to one of those games recently. Holy damn was it fun, and the stadium was full! I brought my kiddo who went from reading in the box to reading in the stands to watching the game and getting into it! I definitely want to go again. We had a blast
I got yelled at by my principal for being late. When I was in elementary school and my mom drove me and she was late getting me there. So there's that. Cuz somehow by being ready earlier would have made my mom ready earlier?
I also got in trouble after I shoved my friend for literally kicking my schoolbook around after my smug-ass incompetent teacher threw me under the bus and got me an in school suspension (which was an absolute joke; I sat in a comfy office chair in the front office all day and got to say hi to everyone that came by)
I mean, I could keep going on about how I was punished but was never a perpetrator of harm
Why is prostitution a "bad choice"? The first half of your comment leads the reader to believe you think sex workers are exploited but then slap them in the face. What do they have to excuse? People pay them for a service. Just as a cake decorator takes money from people making the bad choice to engage in marriage
I've tried playing the game for years. I finally decided to get back to it and get gud because my biggest weakness is I haven't learned to fight well and I hated being carried by whoever I was playing with
I restarted a few days ago and was really surprised when I saw a big update. So I went in on the "easy mode" with a focus more on homesteading and chiller zombies and got used to the ui and took the time to figure out the mechanics of killing zombies, even a small pack
They have a tutorial that is (I think) well put together to walk you through the first steps
I've "been in the know" when someone's getting fired and it's horrible to interact with them and try to act like everything is alright knowing they're about to be given bad news. The good news is what we do is communicable to other jobs and they can do the same thing down the street

I quoted an article already but here's another:
which fully supports your statement
To be fair, it is a number I would be curious about because I just want to know. So I looked up the article:
https://www.sciencefocus.com/planet-earth/how-much-does-human-breathing-contribute-to-climate-change
be mad; read headlines; parrot social media; here's another quote:
The article is literally blaming capitalism

my bad that my experience wasn't as horrible.
After reading her name again I remembered she was the one who made meme-news by pointing aggressively

It's a poem. They don't follow grammatical rules

Twinsies!
It would be preferable as there are people in Israel who do oppose the genocide
It was phrased in a way that left it open to play on the words, but it was for a laugh 💚 you're fine
