What is the highest number of upvotes you've personally observed ths daily chat thread having (while still having zero comments)?

Early this morning I saw 7 upvotes and zero comments.

I think the organisers already l got the business connections etc.

They will be back as something totally different. Definitely not anything that might tie them back to this scandal, but they wouldn't just die off like that..

The organisational talent and events market and people's spending power can probably support replacement or alternative events.

Hopefully...

Oh yeah American Gods was pretty good too. I loved the little side storied about other gods. There was one who was a prostitute that ate a man, a jin that body swapped with a struggling businessman, and also something about an ancient god from the prehistoric age.

Stardust is a fun movie.

The first time i watched was in the cinema. I was so smitten by the pretty star lol. The next time i watched w was with my gf. It was torrented and we watched on a computer... we didn't finish watching lol

Late at night when this thread was still freshly forged, i saw that it had zero comments and 5 upvotes.

That means 4 lurkers skulked by in the deep of the night, upvoted it, and went away.

It was quite difficult before the smartphone era, i did it for about 2 years. From the start when we decided to be bf/gf it was already going to be LDR due to moving for new job.

Luck was on our side. A lot of our work travel and holidays matched up and we managed to see each other every 3 to 4 months at the longest. Sometimes every 2 weeks when we were based close enough.

I married her.

Will i do it again? Yeah!

The best parts are always meeting up after however many months.

I have not read it, but i shall!

Gaiman's novel "Neverwhere" is also super super good. A very average man enters a different world, faces challenges, seduction and love. The writing was superb, a perfect balance of humour and plot and action. One of the 'classes' of people in Neverwhere is the Velvet. The protagonist referred to her as a velcro. That was unexpectedly funny.

And what a bittersweet ending. I'm a sucker for this kind of endings. Stephen King also does these kinds of 'breakup' endings sometimes.

Side note, the movie Stardust was also really good. Also an "a very average man enters a different world, faces challenges, seduction and love." kind of story, but it's the details that make a movie/story.

On leave today to settle a few things at home.

So nice to lie down on the cool living room floor with ceiling fan on, in the quiet of a weekday.

Fell asleep for about 15 minutes until the contactor rang my doorbell.

Damn i remember seeing your post on reddit a few weeks ago.

tried facebook marketing place and mudah but that’s taking too long in like 2 weeks only 1 got sold and i have 5 of them left.

These aren't quite the fast moving goods like rice or shampoo. You just got to wait it out.

Are they brand new? With manufacturer warranty? Global version?

Try just drinking water and eating breakfast. I find that sometimes coffee wakes me up not because of the caffeine but filling the stomach with something.

If I eat fruits, or bread, i can work fine with just water or milo.

So far no deformation. They dont curl up at the edges like the cheapo coil mat that came with the car.

Easy to clean. The grooves and pits to collect dust are diamond shaped, so it doesn't actually trap dust. They just lets the particles drop inside. Easy to vacuum or flip out.

They are made to fit your car (assuming your car is on their list) so the fitment is very good.

Totally no regret buying them, I held off the purchase for so many years and suffered to peeling coil mat. Should have bought at least 2 years earlier.

I have Trapo. Seems pretty durable, i bought them about 2 years ago during CMCO.

I think the overall thickness is 7 mm or so (more than half cm, less than one cm). However they are pretty lightweight so don't bet the farm on that.

Effect on NVH I cannot comment, my car doesn't have that problem so can't observe that.

Yup, Chinese do a big celebration during CNY. When Malays and Indians have big celebrations for hari raya and deepavali, it's assumed those are their new years. Some older Chinese folks (especially those who didn't attend school much) simply refer to Raya and Deepavali as Malay people new year and Indian people new year.

I had that assumption maybe till schooling age.

It was super popular during MCO. Everyone got time and some of these sellera are really good at interacting with audience.

My wife and a few friends regularly watched a fish seller in klang. Indian guy, spoke absolutely perfect bahasa pasar chinese. Someone commented on his chatbox asking what god he prays to (that's just colloquial chinese for what religion are you). He said aiya indian god la. I thought that was so unnecessary and amusing.
